Putin diagnoses “political schizophrenia” in America

Short update on yesterday’s blog post:

Russia always tries to fuel partisan divides and inflame tensions, along with aiding and abetting radical factions, in America.

So, here’s what Putin said Wednesday:

“Putin said allegations that Trump had disclosed top-secret intelligence to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Sergey Kislyak, Moscow’s ambassador to the U.S., proved that the U.S. was  “developing political schizophrenia,” according to the Russian state-controlled news agency Tass, which quoted comments Putin made at a Wednesday news conference in Sochi, Russia.”

Yes, according to Putin, who does everything he can to undermine political stability in America, the U.S. is developing political schizophrenia…  He wants the rest of the world to believe America’s political system is falling apart and America can not be trusted as a world leader.

Too bad most of the partisans in Washington and the mainstream media, while screaming about Trump/Russian collusion, are completely oblivious to how Russia continues their same information warfare and they’re actually feeding the Trump/Russian collusion hysteria.

A Comey Retrospective

The pundits and DC media zoomed into overdrive on divining the “real” reasons President Trump fired FBI director, James Comey yesterday.  I still don’t have a working theory of what motivated President Trump or if the reasons the administration cited are the real reasons.

I do know that James Comey, at critical points in the Hillary Clinton campaign, went public and did damage control for her with her home-brew email server scandal.  As of his time testifying to Congress the other day, he was still selling the “intent” line about why Huma Abedin broke no laws.  There is no “intent” provision is the law pertaining to handling of classified information.  If you mishandle it for any reason, that is a crime.

When Comey reopened the investigation, days before the 2016 election, he did so under pressure from FBI officials, who brought serious information to him.  However, as quickly as possible and as the leaks were mounting on numerous more investigations, ongoing in several states, into the Clinton Foundation corruption, Comey went public and buried the investigation AGAIN.   Once again, it was Comey with “nothing to see here”.  The media buried mentioning any of those ongoing criminal investigations and assuredly they weren’t investigating them.

I’m going to repost a few old LB posts from last year.  There was something hokey about Hillary’s FBI interview on the Saturday of a 4th of July weekend, when hardly anyone was around.  There was one lawyer’s name redacted in those FBI Notes, which were released in September 2016.  It made no sense.

There are a lot of things about how Comey did damage control for Hillary Clinton, that make no sense.  I believe he was rolled by the Clinton or Obama political machines, or maybe, BOTH.

On-ramp to a dangerous road

Three more plastic canvas needlepoint tissue box covers I finished.  The one in the middle is the same size as the other two – bad photography perhaps accounts for it looking so much smaller.

In light of the breakneck speed of the partisan and news media spin cycle, I’m slowing down on writing blog posts about each new hysterical headline.  My focus centers on timelines and trying to analyze, not just the little picture immediate headline, but instead trying to discern bigger picture patterns and trends.

Thinking back over the 2016 election, one of the most interesting aspects of the election was not Trump or Hillary or anything they said or did, but to watch people who identified as “principled conservatives” (people who claim to value good personal character as a prerequisite for good leadership) waffle back and forth on whether to support Trump, a man bereft of good character, or even basic manners and civility, for that matter.

I’m going to write this in two blog posts, first from a personal micro-perspective, which is going to be a personal story and then the second post will be a wider perspective.

Discussions about President Trump have fueled angry outbursts in my family, just like many others.  Regular readers already know, that I am a 56 year-old homemaker, at home taking care of my disabled husband, who is a retired Army sergeant major, veteran of Grenada and Desert Storm.  My husband suffers from normal pressure hydrocephalus, an adult onset type of hydrocephalus, which affected his ability to walk and especially impaired his short-term memory.  He also gets confused easily if several people are involved in a conversation and he struggles to keep reading, because if he puts his book down for a while, when he goes back to reading, he can’t remember what he had read previously.  He also gets lost following TV shows and movies on TV, with the commercial breaks interfering with his concentration.  He can remember things that happened years ago, with more clarity than I can, and he often mentions things I had forgotten about, but everyday living for him is filled with frustrations over physical limitations and short-term memory struggles.

My husband doesn’t like politics, but he greatly admired President Reagan, he admired President Bush, and he greatly disliked President Clinton.   Being a career soldier, my husband views presidents based on national security.  President Clinton’s finger-to-the-wind foreign policy upset my husband, but the Battle of Mogadishu in 1993 turned my husband into loathing President Clinton, to the point he refused to even watch President Clinton on TV.  My husband admired GWB, believing he is honest and sincere.  With President Obama, the initial apology tour, where President Obama traveled around the world apologizing for America, infuriated my husband and he spent the rest of President Obama’s presidency fuming about everything President Obama said and did.  I also did plenty of fuming about President Obama’s policies, especially his foreign policy.  Likewise, Michelle Obama made a comment about for the first time in her life, she was proud to be an American, which infuriated my husband, so he never wanted to listen to anything she said.

People on the Left react like this too and in fact, most of us form, all or nothing opinions about politicians and political issues.  This tribalism in America, where Americans live in partisan camps, viewing those in another political tribe as “enemies” has escalated to the point, just about everything is hyper-politicized, even children.  I am a recovering Republican-partisan, where I try to catch myself from the endless rationalizing Trump’s bad behavior by pointing out what Hillary or Obama did.

Since my husband’s illness, he spends a lot of time watching TV,  especially FOX News and that is his only news source. There are rabid Leftists, who only watch MSNBC or CNN too, where during the 2016 general election, a full-court press went into aiding the “dump on Trump” scorched earth Clinton campaign effort.

During the GOP primary, my husband complained constantly that he couldn’t wait until the primary was over, so he wouldn’t have to listen to “this loudmouth, jackass”, referring to Donald Trump.  My husband told me he voted for John Kasich in the GOP primary, because Kasich is sensible and talks reasonable.

Along came the general election, with the relentless spin on both sides, but my husband only watches FOX News, so he gradually went from being a John Kasich supporter to now sounding like Sean Hannity some days.  He bought into the “ABC – Anyone But Clinton” line of reasoning, that Trump was the lesser of two evils.  Of course, my husband would insist he isn’t influenced by propaganda, but the truth is we are all influenced by propaganda, just like we all react to advertising.   FOX News is a potent agitation propaganda front for Trump, just like it promoted the Tea Party, which was designed to fracture the GOP.  Steve Bannon, btw, was a big player producing Tea Party propaganda too.

Often, I try to talk to my husband calmly and point out something a Trump propagandist, like Jeanine Pirro or Sean Hannity, is saying is morally bankrupt, but my husband sees the far-Left protests and that reinforces his willingness to listen to the Trump train morally bankrupt propaganda and excusing Trump’s erratic, corrupt behavior.

Trump followers have bought into “don’t take what Trump says literally, but take him seriously”, which serves as a flimsy deflection to manipulate people into not holding Trump accountable for his words.  A president’s word is his bond with the American people, so if his words aren’t literal or not to be taken literally, he can never be pinned down as to what he meant.  This tactic was used by President Bill Clinton in a less overt and way more sophisticated manner.   This is the same as the Trump train sales pitch during the campaign that “Trump doesn’t play by the rules” as a good thing.  Trump and his propagandists keep working to chip away at the moral character of Republicans and conservatives, with morally bankrupt propaganda.  They’ve even recruited leaders in the Christian-right community to assist in spreading this morally bankrupt propaganda.

Many liberal journalists and pundits have run Trump scare pieces on authoritarianism and 1984.  About a week ago, CNN and others in the media reported amazon.com was sold out of copies of 1984.  This announcement followed a week of media hype about 1984.  I checked amazon and they were sold out of the cheapest paperback version, but they had other editions and a kindle format version.   They didn’t report how many copies amazon actually sold, but implied this “concern” about Trump was widespread.  I’m concerned about Trump, but I’m concerned about the Left and Dem/Clinton machines too.

The hyper-partisan propaganda used to fuel anger, hate and to keep Americans raging against fellow Americans should worry every American. Even more alarming is the relentless manipulation of words and situations to create hysteria, anxiety, fear, rage and endless chaos. The 1984 scare tactics are bad enough, but the moves from Clinton spin, to Obama narratives, to Trump “alternative facts”, leaves us in uncharted territory. Confusing the meanings of words is part of the information war both sides waged in the 2016 scorched earth presidential campaigns, but even more alarming is the moral wasteland this campaign has left in its wake.

We’ve gotten on the on-ramp to a dangerous road.

The extreme partisans, driving the Trump train on the right and the street rage/media hysteria on the left, don’t care about ordinary Americans, but only about advancing their political agendas and power. However, when even children are engaged in this extreme partisan flame-throwing, it’s time for adults to restore some civility to the American political order and it all starts with each one of us committing to stopping this extreme, divisive partisan fighting.

Information Wars Blaze On

America survived week #1 of the Trump Reality TV Presidency Show.

Keeping in repetitive propaganda from the Left tradition(SPIN Cycle politics to control the 24/7 news cycle), America was bombarded with another Saturday media blitz by the Dems and Left.  This was weekend #2 of “Crowd Size” Saturday Theater for the Dems, as Dems orchestrated protests at airports across the country and Dems, the media, and politicians rushed to get these images broadcast around the world.

Trump’s PR was AWOL yesterday, so now they are stuck playing “Alternative Facts” Sunday again, to try to counter the liberal media spin and hysteria, from the optics and bs the Dems/Left spewed since Friday, when Trump signed the EO. CNN reported on the confusion in the Trump White House with the EO implementation:

“The policy team at the White House developed the executive order on refugees and visas, and largely avoided the traditional interagency process that would have allowed the Justice Department and homeland security agencies to provide operational guidance, according to numerous officials who spoke to CNN on Saturday.

Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly and Department of Homeland Security leadership saw the final details shortly before the order was finalized, government officials said.

Friday night, DHS arrived at the legal interpretation that the executive order restrictions applying to seven countries — Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Sudan and Yemen — did not apply to people with lawful permanent residence, generally referred to as green card holders.

The White House overruled that guidance overnight, according to officials familiar with the rollout. That order came from the President’s inner circle, led by Stephen Miller and Steve Bannon. Their decision held that, on a case by case basis, DHS could allow green card holders to enter the US.”

It’s hard to erase the negative PR impact of the Dems rushing to airports with the liberal media to get images of detained Muslim refugee families broadcast. This not only damaged Trump and his immigration EO, it damaged the image of the US around the world, as these images sped around the globe. This starts week #2 of this information war (scorched earth) continuing from over a year of the 2016 campaign.

There’s a lot more going on here than just Dems vs. Repubs, because while the partisans remain entrenched in death match politics, these images of American democracy in disarray are damaging America’s image as a stable democracy. Trump is waging an information war against the mainstream media. Dems/Left are waging an information war against Trump using the media.

An unbiased, professional news media geared toward objectively reporting ” who, what, when, where, why and how” is best defense against both.  However, our mainstream media is greatly compromised and serves as de facto Democratic Party political operatives and FOX News works as the Trump channel, agitating on the right. This information vacuum is a disservice to the American people who are basically manipulated constantly by little more than agitation propaganda spewed by partisan hacks. We’re also entering the territory where the deluge of constant propaganda and fact-deficient reporting leaves more and more Americans distrusting both the political leadership in Washington and the media.

Lots more to write about the immigration EO and the Trump White House total fail at handling everything from the preparation, implementation, and PR in regards to rolling out the EO, but also the disturbing news that President Trump has elevated Steve Bannon to sit on the NSC Principals Committee, while downgrading the DNI and Chairman of JCS to just being present when invited.  Steve Bannon now playing a central, larger  role in national security matters than the DNI and Chairman of the JCS should alarm every American.  The Obama administration politicized national security too and Trump expanding the politicization dashes hope on Trump actually “draining the swamp”.

The downward spiral in American politics continues where the corrupt Clinton machine was defeated by an even more corrupt Obama machine and now the corrupt Trump “train”, and his, as yet to be revealed machine, defeated the united corrupt Clinton and Obama machines working together to get Hillary elected.

Size doesn’t matter… follow the money

Beyond the partisan rancor, today’s Women’s March, touted as a  global movement, was highly coordinated agitation propaganda on a massive scale.  While the media, Democratic Party activists and Trump administration were lost in a rabid partisan haze, they missed the big picture and national security implications completely.  They were willing accomplices at participating in agitation propaganda designed to make American democracy look unstable and America to be in chaos. Finding out who all was involved in organizing and funding this global movement is a national security imperative, just as much as investigating the Russian influence in the election.  In fact, many of the same hands may be involved in both.

Yesterday, the media began another massive spin effort comparing the crowd size of President Trump’s inauguration with President Obama’s 2008 inauguration.  Most of the coverage centered on posting side-by-side photos of The National Mall in WashingtonDC.

In recent months I’ve started using Twitter and I follow several hundred journalists, news sites and some politicians.  By watching how the journalists and news organization tweet, their sloppy journalism and outright collusion to spread Democrat and Leftist talking points is obvious.

Today, while on Twitter, I noticed this massive spin effort underway to post photos of massive crowds at the Women’s March from all over the country and abroad.  This was an orchestrated propaganda effort, but even more than that, I believe there’s way more to this Women’s March than just the Dem and American Left trying to delegitimize Trump.  All day long, march speakers talked about this as a “movement”, just like Trump talked about his election as a “movement”.  The Left is worried about Russian influence in the election and Russian mob ties within Trump’s inner-circle.  That’s a legitimate concern and needs to be fully investigated.

The WomensMarch was touted as a spontaneous event that is just a grassroots event, but it’s  highly orchestrated, organized and funded.

Asra Q. Nomani wrote a piece at the New York Times yesterday, Billionaire George Soros has ties to more than 50 ‘partners’ of the Women’s March on Washington.  Nomani writes:

“Nick Fish, national program director of the American Atheists, another march partner, told me, “This is not a ‘partisan’ event.” Dennis Wiley, pastor of Covenant Baptist United Church of Christ, another march “partner,” returned my call and said, “This is not a partisan march.”

Really? UnitedWomen.org, another partner, features videos with the hashtags #ImWithHer, #DemsInPhily and #ThanksObama. Following the money, I poured through documents of billionaire George Soros and his Open Society philanthropy, because I wondered: What is the link between one of Hillary Clinton’s largest donors and the “Women’s March”?

I found out: plenty.

By my draft research, which I’m opening up for crowd-sourcing on GoogleDocs, Soros has funded, or has close relationships with, at least 56 of the march’s “partners,” including “key partners” Planned Parenthood, which opposes Trump’s anti-abortion policy, and the National Resource Defense Council, which opposes Trump’s environmental policies. The other Soros ties with “Women’s March” organizations include the partisan MoveOn.org (which was fiercely pro-Clinton), the National Action Network (which has a former executive director lauded by Obama senior advisor Valerie Jarrett as “a leader of tomorrow” as a march co-chair and another official as “the head of logistics”). Other Soros grantees who are “partners” in the march are the American Civil Liberties Union, Center for Constitutional Rights, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch. March organizers and the organizations identified here haven’t yet returned queries for comment.”

So, if this “movement” was just an American Left event, it wouldn’t alarm me so much, but this was a “global” event, with obvious coordination with the American march.  The intent was to show American democracy in chaos.  The big picture questions worry me a great deal, because of the scope of this event and the obvious coordination, and our fearless news media was willingly participating with some idiotic, partisan, petty “crowd size” SPIN effort to advance the organizers of this march’s messaging.  For all intents and purposes, most of the American media is little more than political operatives for the Democratic Party and Left.

Trump reacted to the “crowd size” spin with a bizarre speech at the CIA, where he lied through his teeth to try and sell that he loves the intelligence community and the entire controversy about his comments about US intelligence agencies was something the media created.  He is the one who tweeted that the US intelligence agencies are like Nazis. Intelligence agencies should never have allowed this fake news to “leak” into the public. One last shot at me.Are we living in Nazi Germany?

Later today, Trump’s White House spokesman, Sean Spicer, had his first press conference, which was a continuation of Trump’s bizarre CIA bombast meant to ingratiate himself with the CIA and play the victim of the “dishonest media” (and yes, many of them are very dishonest political hacks).  Spicer’s press conference was an attack on the media where he pointed out some dishonest media reporting, that obviously was intended to make Trump look bad.

For instance, a reporter tweeted that Trump had removed the bust of MLK from the Oval Office.  That wasn’t true.  The media crowd size comparison started yesterday, it was very likely deliberately planned to bait Trump into lashing out (and he did).  Many in the  media reacted to Spicer lashing out at them, like snowflakes, whining on Twitter about how terribly they were treated. Some rushed to investigate all the details Spicer presented about “crowd size” and as Trump’s spokesman, you know Spicer put forth that Trump’s was bigger…   Did anyone expect anything else?

The media quickly started tweeting fact-checking,  pointing out all of Spicer’s lies about Trump’s “crowd size”…  Spicer, like Trump at the CIA earlier, took a few grains of truth, upon which he built a whole sandcastle of lies.  They both lied and distorted facts to make the media out to be the villain and to cast Trump as the victim.  The sole purpose was to assuage Trump’s bruised ego over bad press about his “crowd size”.

I tweeted comments to journalists and retweets many times today, pointing that “size doesn’t matter” and suggesting they investigate who all was involved in organizing and funding these marches.  Who are the foreign political groups involved in organizing and funding the marches in foreign countries?  Did any money move between the US and foreign groups?  What connection do they have to the groups in America, who organized and funded the marches here?  Don’t know if any of them will move beyond their anger at  Trump and Spicer lashing out at them and start following the political and money trails in this global “movement”.

Hopefully, some people in our national security community aren’t asleep at the switch and are investigating this global “movement”.

Russian mob story & Trump inauguration snapshots

With all the talk about Russian influence and Donald Trump and/or people near him being connected to the Russian mob, above is an hilarious Russian mob story.

Now, on to politics:

Donald J. Trump was sworn in as America’s 45th President yesterday.

Here are some things I noticed:

Most of the mainstream media still reports as if they’re Democratic Party operatives and the campaign is still going on. There were many media reports about the smaller crowd size compared to President Obama’s inauguration in 2008. They were reporting trying to use “crowd size” as indicative of “popularity” and conflate that to “legitimacy”.   It was a pretty sad journalistic spectacle all day long.

Several normal administration changeover procedures were hyped to paint President Trump as Hitler.  Chris Matthews, the liberal pundit, even referred to Trump’s inaugural address as “Hitlerian”.  The speech sounded like campaign red meat and divisive at parts, is fair to say, and I had hoped for a speech with loftier rhetoric, but “Hitlerian”…. c’mon.

There were reports Trump removed the bust of MLK from the Oval Office, but later that one was debunked.   There were reports about the White House website being removed, where the normal procedure seems to be to take down the website and archive the info, then restart with each new administration.  It wasn’t the Trump administration trying to erase the Obama website history.   Each time the media spins (they retweet and reprint) these stories to trash Trump that turn out false, the media loses more credibility.

No one could find anything bad to say about Melania Trump.  She acted dignified and might be the most elegantly dressed First Lady in American history.  The family behaved with dignity.  And Trump was Trump, but at least he wasn’t the most obnoxious Trump yesterday.  So, late in the day, a SNL writer tweeted that Barron Trump will be the first homeschool school shooter and some other liberal tweeted that he probably has killed hundreds of small animals.  Why they would think it’s funny to pick on a little kid, I don’t know.

The so-called peaceful protests descended into rioting in Washington DC and that imagery disgusts most people in America and it reflects on the Democratic Party, who is fomenting the efforts to delegitimize President Trump – they own the protests.  Today is the women’s march and that will also turn off many more Americans than it will attract to their cause.  Howling, screeching, angry women shouts hysterical women, not strength.

There were media reports painting Trump’s inauguration team as warmongers and dangerous:

“Donald Trump’s inauguration team wanted to show off the U.S. military during inauguration weekend and even suggested including tanks and missile launchers in his inaugural parade, The Huffington Post reportedThursday.

“They were legit thinking Red Square/North Korea-style parade,” an inauguration team source told The Huffington Post, referring to massive military parades in Moscow and Pyongyang that are often interpreted as displays of aggression.”

This report and all others I saw stemmed from a Huffington Post story, which was based on one unnamed source, yet it was retweeted and repeated in the media without any fact-checking or additional sourcing – this is how the mainstream media has operated for years, because in 1992 they began “spinning” and by 2008 they were repeating Obama “narratives” and behave as de facto political operatives advancing Leftist political agendas and talking points without vetting information.

Hollywood joined the Democratic Party machine in trying to wreak havoc with Trump’s inauguration too, by pressuring celebrities not to perform at any inauguration events.  This too backfired, because the inauguration was heavy in military participation and that was highlighted.  I think it’s fair to say that even Americans who fear a President Trump, were relieved yesterday when General Mattis was sworn in as Secretary of Defense and General Kelly was sworn in as director of Homeland Security.  All this leads me to believe that the celebrity boycott backfired and actually bolstered Trump’s image yesterday.  The elites on the Left don’t understand that most Americans love and respect the US military, because their sons, daughters, friends, neighbors serve and have served in the US military.  The media spinning this seems very disconnected from the rest of America outside their elite bubble.

While reports linger about FBI and intelligence investigations into Trump connections to Russia, the problem unfolding with a media at war with Trump, Trump at war with the media and Democrats and any Republicans who don’t bow to him, America will continue to be deeply divided on what to believe is the truth.  We are in a very dangerous information situation where Americans are frequently bombarded with highly politicized, poorly vetted, and often fabricated “news” by prominent mainstream news media.

The reputation of the FBI and intelligence agencies suffers from many self-inflicted credibility problems, where the Obama administration highly politicized intelligence and assuredly James Comey’s July 5th announcement on Hillary’s email server reads as one of the most illogical statements ever put forth.  He read off very serious charges and then dismissed them as “not criminal” and dismissed criminal behavior as just “extremely careless” that flew in the face of the first half of his statement laying out the “facts”.  The Loretta Lynch meeting with Bill Clinton on the tarmac the week before in Phoenix solidified the image that the fix was in on the FBI investigation into Hillary’s private email server.  Since then Comey reopened that investigation right before the election, then closed it again, while top Democrats howled that the FBI is nothing more than old, white Trump fanboys.

Fast forward to this recent leak by Buzzfeed of the Trump dossier that seems to be false.  Trump lambasted the FBI and  intelligence agencies, Obama, Clapper and Brennan lectured how Trump was undermining the credibility of the FBI and intelligence agencies and the media ran wild with trashing Trump.  Trump is undercutting the FBI and intelligence agencies, but the intelligence community leadership undercut their own credibility by behaving like politicians advancing the Obama narrative.  Democrats are now howling that Trump is dangerously undermining the FBI and intelligence agencies’ credibility, but they were doing the same thing when James Comey reopened the criminal investigation of Hillary Clinton.

Not sure where America goes from here, but the divides in America seem deeper and nothing President Trump said or did yesterday reassured me that we’re on a path to heal our troubled nation.  However, if you have a few minutes, please watch the video at the top  and laugh a little:-)

Some thoughts on Russian influence

In light of the disturbing Trump tweets and US intelligence agencies statements, assuredly the Russian active measures aimed at America need a full and thorough investigation, but the Democrats relentless talking points messaging with their vast network of news media, who collude to amplify those talking points, make it hard to wade through the spin and glean facts.  The Buzzfeed leaked dossier story is a prime example.  Each time the media runs wild with unverified stories, it makes many people, especially Trump supporters, dismiss everything the mainstream media reports.

In this Trump vs intelligence agencies, there’s a concerted Russian effort to discredit US intelligence agencies and play Trump, by fomenting his distrust of US intelligence agencies. That Buzzfeed dossier smells like Russian provocation.

The Democrats launched a massive media effort to delegitimize Trump’s win.  That effort has been massive spin efforts, starting with the recount hoopla.  When the recount effort flubbed, the Dem/media machine launched a media effort to discredit the Electoral College, demanding the election rules be changed.  That media effort to illegally overturn a legitimate election failed too.

So, now the Dems are running a massive spin effort about “Russian influence”, but by doing so, their spin efforts are actually making it more difficult to get at facts.  Plus, their efforts are so blatantly partisan and many reporters are shamelessly retweeting every bit of rumor, without so much as a moment’s worth of independent fact-checking.

This media pack behavior is why so many Americans don’t trust the mainstream media and why they listen to Trump the Liar.  Trump is using the Democrat’s corrupt media collusion to not only discredit the media, but also the US intelligence agencies.  Trump figured out his own corrupt SPIN, on the cheap.  He uses Twitter to incite the media and Democrats, then when they react in massive SPIN efforts, he sits back and points out how corrupt they are.  FOX News, Drudge, Breitbart and some conservative pundits fuel the right-wing “Trump counter-punching” spin effort.  He also, has the Russian propaganda masters aiding his SPIN effort to discredit and play the mainstream media and Democrats.

The thing is I strongly suspect the Russian hostile  information warfare accelerated with the introduction of the SPIN technique that started with the Clinton’s “war room” in 1992 election, not in the 2016 election.   I believe in the intervening years that SPIN advanced to the Obama administration full-blown “narratives” and I believe the Russian influence in this election is not just within the Trump campaign, but that there are long-time Russian willing accomplices in the American media, both major political parties and academia.  There are also plenty of Marxists fueling the black grievance industry and they have been willing accomplices and useful idiots to spread Russian messaging for decades.

Information Warfare in America:

Mass media saturation is the military strategy of swarming juxtaposed to a mass media battlefield

Scorched earth is the military strategy of scorched earth (a war crime under the Geneva Conventions btw) juxtaposed to a mass media battlefield, Scorched earth information warfare is a take no prisoners blitz of vicious character assassinations AND mass media saturation on steroids.

Combined, they have been ruthlessly used to divide America into hostile, warring factions

How SPIN works:

Talking points and buzz word messaging, which are relentlessly repeated by both political operatives and the media.

Mass media domination of the messaging, to control the 24/7 NEWS cycle, which requires mass media collusion.

Relentless repetition of polling data by both the political operatives and media, to facilitate the manufacture of opinion cascades (winning in all the polls).

Why I am so convinced there’s Russian influence in the Clinton SPIN cycle is because of what happened to me in 1998 when I posted comments on the Excite message boards and mentioned that this SPIN is information warfare and smells like something the Soviets would dream up.   I borrowed their keyword messaging technique in my comments on the Excite message board, using capitalization and relentless repetition, right back at them. I refused to back down from their group attacks.  Too much effort went into silencing me.  In my situation in 1998, a retired general, who hates my guts, was located and recruited to come silence me.  He had to believe I was some sort of threat or he would never have participated in this attack.  The US military chain of command was corrupted and a retired general was recruited to attack an American citizen (and Army wife), whose only “crime” was to speak out on the Excite message boards against sophisticated information warfare, meant to manipulate public opinion and silence dissent in America.

We are at a dangerous point in America – the partisan divides have the Democratic party run by very corrupt machines, the GOP was hijacked by a shady, NY real estate developer/celebrity who revels in publicly humiliating opposition, hides his financial dealings, lies constantly and has very disturbing connections to a whole host of sleazy operators, many with Russian business connections.  Finding out the facts on Trump’s Russian connections is a national security imperative, because he’s going to be President in a few days.

Bipartisan leadership is desperately needed.

I pray some of our elected leaders in Washington will put partisanship aside and work to aid in investigating the 2016 election wholesale public corruption on BOTH sides, because that corruption is why a con man touting Russian active measures helping his spin became the candidate on one party and it’s why another party covered-up massive pay-to-play, corrupt media collusion, criminally-negligent mishandling of highly sensitive information by their candidate.

How America ended up with two very corrupt candidates engaged in WHOLESALE PUBLIC CORRUPTION is the biggest national security crisis of all, because our most determined foreign adversaries are now using this political corruption to wage mass media propaganda efforts to pit American factions against each other.

Trust, only after arduous fact-checking

In July, Donald Trump made bizarre comments in regard to Hillary Clinton’s emails. He was saying he hopes the Russians find the 30,000 missing and return them. He also praised Putin as a strong leader. The NY Times reported:

DORAL, Fla. — Donald J. Trump said on Wednesday that he hoped Russian intelligence services had successfully hacked Hillary Clinton’s email, and encouraged them to publish whatever they may have stolen, essentially urging a foreign adversary to conduct cyberespionage against a former secretary of state.

“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Mr. Trump said during a news conference here in an apparent reference to Mrs. Clinton’s deleted emails. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”

Mr. Trump’s call was another bizarre moment in the mystery of whether Vladimir V. Putin’s government has been seeking to influence the United States’ presidential race.

His comments came amid questions about the hacking of the Democratic National Committee’s computer servers, which American intelligence agencies have told the White House they have “high confidence” was the work of the Russian government.

Trump’s comments were construed by Democrats as urging the Russians to hack America and by Trump followers as either he was urging Putin to hand them over to the FBI or pointing out how much Hillary jeopardized national security, which seems an irrefutable FACT – she did jeopardize national security.  However, there’s an ominous danger to trusting in anything hostile foreign intelligence agents release, even though sometimes they do release factual information.  It’s always important to keep in mind that their objective is to stir up distrust among our allies, or distrust between Americans and their government or distrust between our partisan political factions.  Their objective is NEVER to benefit America or the American people.

Their  efforts are ALWAYS to HARM America.  It is very important to remember that they follow a ruthless “divide and conquer” strategy at all times and playing sides against each other remains their favorite tactic.  It’s a very vicious and cynical form of fighting, of the type psycho women engage in when catfighting – poisoning people, setting up sex traps, playing people against each other, spreading vicious rumors, etc.  It is a warfare tactic for BULLIES, who are really nothing more than wimps, imo.

BUT trusting Putin or Wikileaks, an organization widely believed to be a Russian front organization by many US intelligence experts, is NOT the answer.

No American should trust Wikileaks’ revelations at face value.  Herein comes a short warning message about Russian active measures and their long history of incredibly sophisticated and  sometimes brilliant disinformation campaigns against the West, and America in particular:

RedState had a piece on Russian disinformation, “Harry Reid Joins Donald Trump In Pushing Russian Dezinformatsiya In The United States” yesterday and there’s a  link to a very interesting  CIA study into the Russian AIDS disinformation campaign, to plant the false story that the CIA created AIDS as a biological agent.  This disinformation lie still resonates today, especially in the black community.

The black community in America, due to America’s long, difficult history on race, makes it a group that the Russians (and Soviets), Islamists and others hostile to America frequently target with disinformation campaigns to make them distrust the US government.  Trump and Hillary are also targeting the black community with campaign rhetoric (much of it lies).

With so many people targeting, we the American people, with LIES, it’s best to trust, only after arduous fact-checking.  And even then, be prepared to consider new information that comes to light, because we’re in for a rough few months between now and November in this take no prisoners, scorched earth battle of the wholesale public corruption titans, Drumpfzilla vs. the Witch of Chappaqua, as they slug it out in the sewer for the keys to the White House.

Another day of America politics gone off the rails.

Congress certified the Electoral College vote from December, so it’s official, Donald J. Trump will be the next United States President and Mike Pence will be the next Vice President.

Now, to the surreal, is the intelligence nightmare that continues over the Russian hacking and what influence it had in the 2016 Presidential election.

Yesterday, intelligence officials testified under oath to Congress finally, but there were no smoking gun sound bites from that hearing presided over by Senator John McCain.

Hours later news media outlets started reporting on leaked information from a senior administration official:

“Meanwhile, US intelligence has received new information following the election that gave agencies increased confidence that Russia carried out the hack and did so, in part, to help Trump win.

Included in that new information were intercepted conversations of Russian officials expressing happiness at Trump’s win. Another official described some of the messages as congratulatory.

Officials said this was just one of multiple indicators to give them high confidence of both Russian involvement and Russian intentions. Officials reiterated that there is no single intercepted communication that qualifies as a “smoking gun” on Russia’s intention to benefit Trump’s candidacy or to claim credit for doing so.”

What outraged me was intercepted signal intelligence was leaked by the Obama administration to clearly bolster the Democratic spin effort to delegitimize Trump’s win, when top intelligence officials were in front of the cameras for hours earlier and had the opportunity to provide intelligence that was deemed suitable for release to the public.  It’s disgusting to see intelligence gathered to keep all Americans safe used to fuel partisan political agendas.

Trump is demanding Congress investigate this leak that he perceives as a witch-hunt, but he has devoted a lot of effort to sucking up to Putin and championing Julian Assange as some sort of crusader for the truth, when in reality Assange’s leaking is not geared toward governmental transparency, as he claims, but works to destabilize western democracies and foment distrust  among Western alliances. His operation works to bolster the agenda of Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin.

The American mainstream media greatly discredited itself by participating in the Clinton Scorched Earth 2.0 effort to promote the GOP Insurgency to the tune of billions of dollars in free media and selling Trump talking points and sitting on piles of dirt on Trump during the primary.  Then in the general election, the mainstream media jumped into action working to bury Trump in all that dirt they had compiled for months.

Trump mastered the Clinton scorched earth,  Sure, he benefited from the Wikileaks leaks and the FBI criminal investigation being reopened, but he also benefited from Hillary’s terrible missteps like calling Trump’s supporters a “basket of deplorables” and sanctimonious speeches, poor campaign planning on which states to visit and a lack of a campaign message.  She campaigned on “Trump is Deplorable” and it backfired.

Trump’s talking points – the “Make America Great Again” slogan, the focus on jobs, securing the border, and rebuilding the military resonated with many Americans as meat and potatoes issues.

If anything provided Trump the boost to winning this election, I would argue it’s the very corrupt billions of dollars of free media he was given by the media in the primary to wage his GOP Insurgency on the cheap.  Who the media colluded with for the Trump primary spin messaging has not been reported.  Who fed Trump those primary talking points and advised him to spin the “winning in all the polls” and other memes, has not been revealed yet either.

Wikileaks exposed the Clinton campaign’s corrupt media collusion, but make no mistake of it Trump’s GOP Insurgency was a product of corrupt media collusion too.

That’s why I was #NeverTump&NeverHillary all along.  Trump won the corrupt scorched earth battle, but the long war of protecting and defending The Constitution is the one every American should be fighting.  Both political parties in American are now completely controlled by very corrupt leadership.

The Democratic Party machine is a known entity,  The Clinton machine corruption is a known entity.  President Obama and his ties to the Chicago political machine are a known entity.

Trump’s financial ties to foreigners, his connections to organized crime, even his tax records aren’t known.  Trump’s siding with Putin and Wikileaks while attacking American intelligence agencies should raise alarm bells.  Trump’s insistence on tweeting about nuclear policy and other serious foreign policy issues should raise alarms too.

Trump corrupts everyone around him.  He is like the Clintons in that regard.   Newt Gingrich these days sounds like Lanny Davis.  Back in November Gingrich started selling thwarting anti-nepotism laws, so that Trump could have his son-in-law, Jared Kushner and daughter, Ivanka, working in the White House:

Here’s Rep. Pete King on Julian Assange, pre-Trumpian and now:

In December that same year, Rep. King introduced a bill targeting WikiLeaks.

“I consider Mr. Assange a handmaiden of terror. And he definitely has blood on his hands as far as I’m concerned,” said former CIA Director James Woolsey, now a Trump national security adviser and media surrogate, in a November 2010 MSNBC interview.

Thankfully, James Woolsey had his fill of the Trump moral vacuum and walked away as a senior adviser to Trump yesterday.  One can only wonder how far Newt and some of these others will go selling their souls to prop up Donald J. Trump.

What alarms me the most is how effortlessly the Russians have been able to keep Americans frothing in partisan battles, to the point partisan factions put advancing their partisan agenda above the national security of the United States.  A president-elect with the emotional maturity of a 10 year-old champions Putin, strong-men in general, and a Russian front – Wikileaks and a senior official in the current White House is leaking intercepts of high level Russian officials to score partisan points.

Donald Trump was legally elected.  There was plenty of corrupt campaigning on both sides, corrupt media collusion and corrupt influence from abroad, but Homeland Security reported there was no unusual activity detected on election day, tampering with ballots.  Americans are free citizens and no one forced them to vote a certain way.

I will support President Trump on issues where I believe his policies are beneficial to America, but if he strays from The Constitution, I will speak out and support constitutional efforts to deal with that, whether it be through Congressional actions or Supreme Court rulings – the same as I have supported with every other President of the United States.

We are at a perilous cross-roads in America.  No matter what happens, my devotion is to defending The Constitution and referring to the rule of law to be championed above partisan causes.

America needs to become ONE TEAM

We haven’t even “officially” exited the “Obama nightmare” and entered the “Trump Strong-Man Era”, but I’m stitching away…  Used red and white for this pattern, instead of just one color, as the pattern instructed.  Think it will make a cute Valentine’s Day tissue box cover for my youngest daughter’s desk. Think I will make one for my oldest daughter’s desk at her work too.

Now, on to politics:  What in the hell are Obama and Kerry trying to do?  They have not only sold Israel down the river a second time, but they’ve basically handed over regional domination in the Mid-East and beyond to Russia, Iran and China.  All the thugs on the world stage, thanks to this feckless administration, are in the driver’s seat and America is almost irrelevant.

Back when Hillary was Secretary of State and the Arab Spring bloomed bright in delusional idiots’ heads, the Obama administration tried to sell the Muslim Brotherhood as a “mostly secular” organization.  The Obama administration supported the ouster of President Mubarak and backed Mohamed Morsi, a MB leader.  That move completely put Sinai security in jeopardy and effectively threw Israel into a very serious security crisis.

With all the mainstream media and Dems hype  of “fake news”, well the Obama administration & Democratic Party continue to be the biggest aggregators of “fake news”, with their endless fabricated “talking points” and “narratives”, which the mainstream media repeats constantly… selling it as real news.  Let’s be clear, this hype is really propaganda that is planned, packaged and sold to generate hysteria and public concern – it is designed to manufacture “public opinion” that aligns with their political agenda.  In simple terms it’s sophisticated mass media brainwashing and it only works with massive media collusion, as I must have said dozens of times in the past year.  The orchestrated nature of the talking points (aggressive keyword messaging with relentless repetition) and the vast mainstream (liberal) media collusion that aids in that messaging is combined with a relentless repetition of polling data to manufacture public opinion and nudge it toward the desired political agenda.

Here’s a repeat of what I believe Clinton SPIN and Obama “narratives” really are:

The reason Trump broke out of the pack was because he used the borrowed Clinton-style mass media saturation/scorched earth strategy.

That strategy is a sophisticated INFORMATION WARFARE strategy introduced into American politics by the Clinton political operatives.

The mass media saturation strategy was developed by far-left Alinskyite Marxists.  The messaging wall required for mass media saturation to succeed requires the active collusion of the mass media NEWS outlets to facilitate it, by actively and relentlessly repeating the messages of the political candidate or activists using this “buzz word, catchphrase spin (talking points messaging). Mass media saturation INFORMATION WARFARE requires mass media collusion to succeed.  This strategy can NOT succeed without mass media messaging dominance to CONTROL (“win”) the 24/7 news cycle (or as the Clinton team dubbed it – the spin cycle).

It is a form of mass media brainwashing and antithetical to American free speech principles!  To succeed this strategy requires MEDIA COLLUSION.

It can NOT work without that media collusion.

Here are the components:

  • Talking points and buzz word messaging, which are relentlessly repeated by both political operatives and the media.
  • Mass media domination of the messaging, to control the 24/7 NEWS cycle, which requires mass media collusion.
  • Relentless repetition of polling data by both the political operatives and media, to facilitate the manufacture of opinion cascades (winning in all the polls)

Only Democrats had successfully used this strategy before Trump, because the liberal media never before gave BILLIONS of dollars in free media for one GOP candidate, to run a “GOP Insurgency” for 8 months straight on all three cable news networks nor did the mass media cable networks ever collude or facilitate in the mass media messaging for any Republican candidate or cause.

Just as the Wikileaks leak has exposed the MEDIA COLLUSION between the DNC and the media to rig the system against Sanders, that SAME media collusion exists between the Potemkin Trump campaign (or the Clinton operatives who were in the shadows masterminding this charade) and the media.

Those electronic trails exist!!!

This mass media saturation requires constant messaging coordination between political operatives and the media facilitators to keep the SPIN cycle moving. Trump’s “win, win, win” is exactly like Carville’s “sex, sex, sex” during impeachment. I feel sure Trump’s MEDIA COLLUSION will be exposed before November.

And the scorched earth part of the strategy is really just the mass media saturation strategy on steroids, replete with endless character assassinations (low-energy Jeb, lyin’ Ted, little Marco, etc.) and a take no prisoners attitude.

The selling of polls as a “scientific” metric to gauge public opinion and polling results over 50% as a legitimate reflection of the “will of the people” has dumbed down America and created a nation of sheep, easily herded to conforming to the polling/media viewpoints.   Watching how polls were used to sell Donald Trump as the “GOP Insurgent” by the liberal media and many “conservative” news outlets during the GOP primary, then watching the liberal media switch to the Clinton Scorched Earth 2.0 mode at the end of February/early March with the staged showdown in Chicago and coordinated media talking points blitz of “Trump the Fascist”,  the media wasn’t just reporting the “news”, they were active political players, driving a political agenda.  CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC , the Washington Post and many others were actively engaged in shameless agitation propaganda to discredit Trump and promote Hillary.  FOX News, Drudge Report, many talk radio venues, along with Wikileaks (a likely Russian front) and others were busily selling Trump.

Now, I’ve been called all sorts of names in the past year online, but since I am a nobody homemaker, have no monetary incentive to bolster any political candidate, well, I don’t really give a crap what names I get called.  I am still free to speak my mind in America.  So, first I want to point out a polling sound bite the media is selling to hype the “fake news” crisis and then I want to make a few big picture comments.

A Mediaite article citing a poll about dumb Trump voters who believe “fake news” has been getting circulating on Twitter, largely retweeted by liberal media types.  The Mediaite article states:

You got it?  Trump voters are just mindless idiots, who need smart liberals to police the news and protect them from “fake news”.  The right uses a lot of these same tactics now too and Trump won, because he mastered the Clinton SPIN cycle during the primary, where he repeated endlessly that he was “winning in all the polls” and the American media (liberal, FOX News, talk radio) all colluded to sell Trump as the “GOP Insurgent”.  Sure, there’s discontent across America and populist sentiments swirling, but Trump is a media-created President, the same way President Obama was cast as the second-coming, walking on water, making the seas part, transformational leader.

Now, we move to the Russian influence operations hysteria. where massive effort has been expended to turn Russian influence operations into an existential crisis “threatening our democracy”.

First off, my default reaction to hearing about “our democracy” makes me want to shout, “America is a republic!”   Then my less reactive response to the Russian influence operations hysteria is, “what the hell did you expect from Russia and other adversaries, when our President is so gutless that he allows US Armed Forces to be humiliated repeatedly by being harassed in international territory and last January, Iran captured two American naval vessels and crew, then had them on their knees, broadcasting those images around the globe?  It was the most shameful, gutless act of moral cowardice and failure of American leadership since probably Somalia in the 90s.  The Obama administration and John Kerry did NOTHING and praised Iran for resolving the situation peacefully…  They got on their knees too!

Only when the Russians escalated their information warfare operation during the 2016 election did clueless politicians notice the Russians are on the move – because it affected Washington politicians.  The Washington politicians weren’t concerned enough to demand actions when Iran took our sailors hostage or Russia was buzzing our planes and harassing our ships.  No, only when it became a partisan political issue could President Obama and the Dems get on their soapbox with their liberal media friends colluding to manufacture this Russian influence crisis.

Russians and other American adversaries have continued influence operations for DECADES in American universities and colleges, in black urban areas, and throughout the American educational system.  President Obama marinaded in professors who were promoting anti-American agendas and willing purveyors of hostile foreign influence operation messaging.  The Marxist/Alinsky crowd are some of Russian influence operators most willing accomplices and useful idiots for decades.  The entire PC agenda is permeated with old Soviet-era messaging.

Yes, we have a Russian influence problem, but the real threat to America is the lack of American republican values & virtues, as espoused by our founding fathers in our founding documents, having enough influence in America.

We lack a common American bond.

The partisan, social (cultural) and economic (class), and ethnic divides are splintering our nation into small, rabid, enemy factions.

Creating hysteria over Russian influence in our election, while doing nothing as Russians literally harass America’s military with no fear, is about like the French with their idiotic burkini ban.  French police patrolling beaches to harass Muslim women who are wearing modest swimwear, yet not securing their border, shows the complete disconnect from understanding real threats vs. ridiculous political antics masquerading as sound policy.

We need to respond to real acts of aggression forcefully and without fear or hesitation!

We need to quit with the endless information warfare being waged between American partisans.

“United we stand, divided we fall” – that’s as simple as it gets.

America needs to become ONE TEAM!
