Building a bridge

Another Ferguson, MO looming question:

The media and Rand Paul have run full-throttle about the “militarization” of police forces all over the country.  Not talked about in this latest media hype is the larger “militarization” effort by President Obama at the federal level, arming agencies, like the IRS and the BLM, to the teeth. So, Eric Holder rushes to send the FBI to Ferguson and the media is running, without blinking, with the story about the Pentagon arming local police forces and how that is a threat to citizens. So, who is promoting this “militarization” of local police and promoting training for mass civil disturbances, well, according to this 2013 Huffington Post piece, “7 Ways The Obama Administration Has Accelerated Police Militarization” – it’s the Obama administration.

For any citizen who cares to do some fact-checking and a little research, rather than be led by race-baiters and deceitful partisans, this Ferguson story serves as just a small flashpoint in a much larger epic battle being waged against US citizens by the Obama administration.   It’s quite amazing to listen to Eric Holder, who implemented “Fast and Furious” and long ago participated in such notable excessive uses of force as the Waco stand-off and his starring role in the SWAT type raid to seize Elian Gonzalez for deportation to Cuba,  He ‘s now the champion for Hispanic children to stay in America and he’s all for “militarizing” the executive branch, with arming even the the US Post Office and promoting the Department of Homeland Security to partner with local police to arm, train, indoctrinate them to look for “homegrown terrorists” and other domestic threats.  But, rest assured he’s the man to investigate this Ferguson situation.

Finally, the question, is the media a willing dupe to promote left-wing partisan narratives and little more than puffed up propagandists?  They’ve run with unsubstantiated stories for days now and when a video emerges that belies their urban myth fantasy, you can expect the press to run for cover or pretend they weren’t a part of creating the vast deception.

Rest assured the executive branch is behind  fueling the racial discord in America, they are behind dividing America into angry, aggrieved hostile camps, and they have set up this “divided America” canard.  The press is either too stupid or too blinded by politically correct dogma to see beyond the lies and deception.

Truth matters and therein the fate of America lies.  We have hostile camps in America, left and right, black, white and every shade in-between, who find it easier to treat each other as enemies rather than talk and find common ground as fellow American citizens.  We’ve got too much diversity training and not enough American citizen training:

“We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

From the OJ case to this current Ferguson situation, the chasm that divides America widens and deepens, making building a bridge more challenging, but build a bridge we must.  Moving beyond politically driven factions, a daunting challenge, if ever there was one, rests as the challenge that will define America’s future.  It doesn’t get any clearer than “united we stand, divided we fall”!

Candid camera?

Haven’t been following this Ferguson, MO mess closely, so perhaps someone can fill me in or answer this question. With all these eyewitness accounts, surely there is a cell phone video or photo to corroborate the murdered in cold blood version, right?

Please define our broader strategy Mr. President

Parsing 101: say what you think people want to hear, but make sure you counter all those things with careful parsing. Let’s dissect President Obama’s weekly address, the talking out of both sides of your mouth technique.

“We have Americans serving across Iraq, including our embassy in Baghdad, and we’ll do whatever is needed to protect our people.

“But when there’s a situation like the one on this mountain—when countless innocent people are facing a massacre, and when we have the ability to help prevent it—the United States can’t just look away. That’s not who we are. We’re Americans.  We act.  We lead.  And that’s what we’re going to do on that mountain.  As one American who wrote to me yesterday said, “it is the right thing to do.””

then he follows these with:

“As Commander-in-Chief, I will not allow the United States to be dragged into fighting another war in Iraq.  American combat troops will not be returning to fight in Iraq, because there’s no American military solution to the larger crisis there.”

So, in paragraph 5, he completely makes a mockery of his statements that:  “we’ll do whatever is needed to protect our people.”

He rambles on a bit more about our broader strategy in Iraq, but alas, there is no broader strategy , only a repeat of his “zero footprint” strategy that led to weapons being funneled to ” Syrian freedom fighters”, who turned out to be Islamist zealots (aka the ISIS/ISIL he’s now bombing) – just don’t fly low, because they probably have the manpads you allowed to flow from your previous Libyan/Syrian debacles (funneling weapons).  In light, of this leader-from-behind’s track record, one can only believe that his assurances that “we’ll do whatever is needed to protect our people” ring a bit hollow.

They say actions speak louder than words, so he followed this speech to let our enemies know he means business, really he does, by going on vacation for two weeks.

In recent days, Jake Tapper asked  WH Deputy National Security Advisor, Tony Blinken, about the President’s total misunderstanding of the threat ISIS poses, when earlier this year when he compared ISIS to a JV basketball team.  More parsing and spinning, with Blinken blabbering on about how ISIS doesn’t pose a threat to us, here in America.

This is the President who orchestrated this border crisis, where illegals and our enemies stampede across our southern border and this President doesn’t even want the border agents to stop them.  Yes, this President’s assurances that he will protect you here at home are about as truthful as the ones he uttered about protecting Americans serving in Iraq.  His DHS is more concerned about the threat from law-abiding, conservative Americans than they are about Al Qaeda, ISIS, criminal gangs /thugs from Central America, or any other foreign enemies.   And once the strawmen defenses go up in flames, never fear, because with this administration, at the end of the day, everything is still GWB’s fault.

PS:  JK fact-checked the Zero Footprint piece from The Last Refuge blog yesterday and he offers this additional bit of information:

Pretty exhaustive LB (name changed, because I prefer LB here). And, in the wider scope of things I won’t be making any wide disagreements.

But. And “I think” it was in part three – I’m going on memory so – about where that pic of McCain standing next to the known ISIL kidnapper/terrorist there was a paragraph/sentence the gist of was this:

“Nobody could have possibly foreseen how fucked up this Libyan adventure would become.”
_______________

If it’s convenient for you, read from page 7 through page eleven. If pressed for time, just read the final sentence on page eleven.

http://tarpley.net/docs/CTCForeignFighter.19.Dec07.pdf

Now – abit of background first – twenty-three Libyans were taken off the field in the vicinity of Kirkuk (Iraq 04) and transferred to Gitmo where they remained in US custody until Condi Rice and Buddy Muammar had their lovefest in 2006. Perhaps by pure dumb luck, McCain and Senator Graham visited Tripoli a week later then, when they got back to DC they proceeded with the genius idea to “as a gesture of goodwill” convince GW to release the Libyan detainees into Sa’id Gaddafy’s tender care.

The first five or so paragraphs should be sufficient.

More border disorder

Watching the political left subvert the US Constitution on so many fronts lately demonstrates they believe they possess the political power to frame the entire debate. The mainstream media willingly aids and abets their propaganda blitz, by buying into the terms the political left dictates. We now get admonished that it’s racist and cruel to refer to these “illegal immigrants” as “illegal”, no, no, now they are “refugees” fleeing grossly exaggerated threats at home. Any thinking person, should be able to discern this disinformation campaign in full-swing, but the mainstream media definitely is buying into the propaganda. The choice of “refugee” serves an important legal purpose, with “refugees” being entitled to legal protections under US immigration laws.

By forcing their terms on us, we also lose our ability to discuss the issue from any other point of view, because they usurp the moral high ground and caricature any opposition as far-right bigots, haters, or potential right-wing extremists, neatly silencing all opposition.  This technique has worked on racial issues, gay marriage, abortion/reproductive matters, climate change, and many, many other hot buttons issues.  We should recognize the semantical ploy by now, but somehow their relentless talking points technique works, as reporters, pundits and the American public, fall into line, buying the new definition, which neatly changes the terms of the argument.  The political left runs on cheap emotional manipulation as the definitive measure of  the merits of issues,  believing that  poll numbers determine the issues in America.  Sadly, the political right now governs by poll numbers too and few politicians will brave the potential political backlash that comes from rowing against the tide.

So, here’s where the absurdity of the situation hits me, Rahm Emanuel, mayor of gang-banging Chicago, is offering to take in “refugees” from Central American gang violence.  Now, ponder that for a moment – yes, these poor “refugees” (many reportedly with gang affiliations) will find a safe haven in Chicagoland.  Yes, of course, this all makes perfect sense ………..  we’re ostensibly rescuing them from gang violence, only to send them to a city besieged by gang violence.  Where is the public dissent, calling “bullshit” to President Obama and the left’s pile of crap that you’d need hip waders to navigate.

C’mon, yes, we’ve got lots of stupid people, but it takes collective hypnosis to not see this blatant LIE.  Oh, libertybelle, this post will add you to another list of haters.  You would turn your back on these poor “refugee” children., blah, blah, blah.  Look, Glenn Beck did his humanitarian caravan a week ago and the left hijacked that, along with these supposed “Christian charities”, whom the federal government is paying hundreds of millions of dollars, ostensibly to care for these “poor refugee children”, deftly bamboozling the media and the American public on this complete lawlessness spearheaded by this White House.

George Will chimed in supporting blanket amnesty for this flood of illegal immigrants today, so the push among America’s elites seems like a united political front, with the Republican power brokers decidedly unmotivated to speak out against this lawlessness.  The issue isn’t whether America can absorb all these immigrants, which sounds like Will’s argument.   The issue boils down to where does this lawlessness end with a porous border, meaningless US immigration laws and complete breakdown of control over who comes across our Southern border.  A green light invites a rising flood, not a solution to stem the flow.  Securing the border is a national security necessity.  Pretending these illegal immigrants are going to assimilate and embrace American values seems a dangerous delusion and potentially a threat to our national security, as this mess escalates.   Of course, it’s easier to do the feel-good, “I care about the downtrodden” sound bites and not be accused of being a “hater”.

And frankly, anyone encouraging poor Central American folks to negotiate with drug cartels and criminals to get to America or sending young children alone and presuming other people will provide care is negligent in the extreme in their parental role – there I said it.  This isn’t like Jewish parents sending their kids to escape the Holocaust in Germany.  Sadly, these poor people are being used by left-wing American politicians as political pawns and let Nancy Pelosi open her home and treat these illegals like baby Jesus and then I might begin to believe her despicable pandering.

Without securing the border and stopping this flood, the problem will escalate.

“Messages of mhere” again….

Here’s a laugh, “Hillary Clinton blamed Bill’s sex addiction on the abuse he suffered as a child by his mother, new book reveals”

Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/new-book-hillary-clinton-blamed-bill-sex-addiction-abuse-child-article-1.1877769#ixzz38M9VWJtA

The woman, who will go to extraordinary lengths to silence other women, speaks about his child abuse, yet I have always wondered what made her the dangerous megalomaniac she turned out to be.

Oh my this story brought back nightmare memories, yep, I hearken back to my “Messages of mhere” story, in the Archives on the right side of my blog.  Oh, I long to someday offer the public decoder key to this story……… kind of like one of those old FBI stories, “the names have been changed, to protect the innocent”, except in this topsy-turvy world, I had to change the names to protect myself from the most powerful political machine in America, lol.  And I doubt this FBI would try to protect my rights.

Now in my story, here are some missing details.  I think it’s safe though to mention that the politics message boards mhere mentioned were the Excite message boards.  And I’d like to add that mhere wrote some letters during the long ago war that ended up at the Department of the Army and caused a stir, which angered the military leader, americanrommel,  mentioned in the story.  So, when the topic mhere wrote about on those Excite message boards happened, mhere suspected thatwitch2016 sent her sewer rats looking to find out who “mhere” was and they connected with americanrommel, who was by this time a favorite general of presidentmendacity.

Does the story start to make more sense now?  mhere doesn’t have any power, money or way to “prove” her story, and after all, as the story states, she was diagnosed by a real live shrink, arrogantass#1,  as being nuts and no one, not even her family, would listen to her.   It can be proved that she was handled quite irregularly while involuntarily committed, held for 18 days, then a hearing scheduled without even notifying her of it.  Her husband was called at night by arrogantass#1 to convince him that mhere should be locked away in a state mental hospital permanently, even though she was perfectly coherent, showered and dressed without any supervision, was completely aware of her surroundings, could communicate.  She refused to take any medication and refused to cooperate with their “treatment plan”.

All of the people mentioned in the story  (and more unmentioned ones too) who interacted with mhere in that facility can testify as to her ability to communicate.  The lawyer who represented mhere exists too.  Long years later she found a few men to help her in her quest, but still to prove her story is one of those “insurmountable obstacles” she loves to wax on about.  It would take fighting the most skilled media manipulators in the world and getting her story out on the national stage.  mhere has a plan.  mhere keeps wondering if there is justice and if her rights count, perhaps someday she’ll find out….

mhere offered the decoder key to three media folks thus far and none bothered to respond.  She keeps trying though.

Excellent info on the border mess

The Conservative Tree House blog offers information on this border mess that you won’t find in the mainstream media.  They’re doing investigative reporting over there and here’s a must read on the non-profits cashing in on the illegal immigrant debacle, receiving huge grants from Obama’s DHS and HHS.  Here’s the link:

High Noon at the border

Lest you all think I wandered off into lalaland about caring for these illegal immigrant children  in my last post, well I haven’t.  The truth is that until some politicians get their heads out of their patooties, these children are here and more are surely on the way.  And whether they get deported in a day or month or never, they still need to be sheltered, fed and supervised in a humane manner – this is required, because we are civilized human beings, not because of politics.  Of course, Glenn Beck does everything for publicity and to sell more books, but that aside these children need to be cared for until the politicians decide on a solution.  President Obama clearly does not have any coherent plan to deal with this escalating crisis, so here is an opportunity for governors and private citizens to band together and act.  Sure, “immigration” is a federal function, but a humanitarian crisis within a state certainly is a state and local issue.  Time to rise to the occasion and deal with these children’s immediate needs first.

At the same time a real, permanent solution must be found to quell this tide of illegal immigration and anyone hoping this President changes his cowardly, mealy-mouthed response at this late date is either a complete moron, a hopeless ideologue or insane.  President Obama does not know how to solve real problems, there you have the truth.  He never really worked doing real stuff in his life; he lives in the world of political theory, not real world problems.  He thinks his political ideology will solve real problems, when the truth is you have to roll up your sleeves and get down in the ditches and dig long, hard hours to resolve most real world problems.  It usually means you end up leaving the political ideology at home and turn to basic moral tenets (our religious faith, for many of us) to make it through the rough times each day.  A political solution must be reached; expecting President Obama to craft it is delusional.  So, that leaves us with the horde in Congress to act responsibly and reach a consensus to quell the flow of these children from Central America, compose a comprehensive law to deal with securing the border, how illegal immigrants will be processed, and allocating funding to accomplish this.  Securing the border must be the primary objective, because short of that, everything else rests as photo-op politics, not real solutions.

Russ Vaughn over at the American Thinker wrote an interesting piece, “Militarize Our Border?  O’Reilly, Here’s Your Plan”, on policing the border using US Armed Forces.  He states:

“Now comes the rub: liberals will scream to high heaven that our federal military cannot be used to police law violators on American soil, a violation of the Posse Comitatus Act.  However, troops in federal service have sworn an oath to protect this nation from all enemies, foreign and domestic.  Consider if you will that some of those poised on the south side of the U.S.-Mexican border intent on illegal entry into this country, in violation of clearly promulgated immigration laws, are foreign enemies determined to cross that border, subject to military capture and incarceration.  Whether or not our military has legal standing to determine illegal border crossers to search for terrorists embedded within their masses is a legal issue that will no doubt rise to the level of our Supreme Court.”

The problem in America is that the States and American people too often turn to Washington for leadership, awaiting solutions that never come, when The Constitution does not tie our hands to act on many issues confronting us.  Immigration, per se rests in the federal purview, but “we the people” and the States, rarely exert ourselves to carve out bold swaths left for us to decide within our constitutional framework.  States boldly acting in regards to the humanitarian crisis unfolding would give the States public support and clout when challenging President Obama’s political reactionary responses, which rest upon endless gauging poll numbers, consultations with focus groups and other political groups.  If State and local leaders could come up with real solutions for the humanitarian crisis and demonstrate a real ability to act, the political support would start to shift dramatically away from the President.  People gravitate toward real leadership, it’s human nature.  In those border states, the real leaders need to start banding together and quickly coming up with plans of action and then act.

A federal response must be reached and at this point securing the border should be of paramount importance, to quell flow of illegals. How quickly that can be reached might be dramatically impacted by States acting to take charge of the humanitarian crisis and forcing a showdown at High Noon with the lame Obama response.  Rick Perry should spearhead a plan for Texas quickly, then demand federal dollars for this emergency.  He should invite the press in and make them cover this chaos the Obama administration instigated and continues to encourage.
