Obama’s girls strike again….

The bimbos at the US State Department strike again (ok GMD, they really are bimbos) … this time it was Marie Harf’s turn to make a complete fool of herself (and the United States), because these amateur nincompoops are the face the world puts on us. Hot Air blog offers, “U.S. State Dept. accuses Russia of acts of war against Ukraine” and the British UK Telegraph ran with, “MH17: US says Russia planning to send rebels ‘more powerful’ rocket launchers”.

Why the Obama administration continues to allow these clueless twits at the State Department to discuss military matters, I have no idea, and one can only wonder who is providing them with the analysis, but their “information” lacks credibility and makes us look like a banana republic.  After this national nightmare, known as the Obama presidency, is over, perhaps these women at the State Department can offer their services to North Korea, as their “information” is beginning to sound much like that propaganda.  Hey, Dennis Rodman would probably even volunteer to do the honors of introducing these ladies to Kim Jong Un.

I apologize in advance for posting so much of  KGS Nightwatch’s 7/25/2014 edition, but the comments on this latest State Department news release explain the matter brilliantly and  succinctly (plus I laughed at the dry humor at the choice of words):

“Comment: Today’s statement contains less information than meets the ear. The first red flag is the admission that the new evidence is human source information, not radio intercepts or imagery. Human source information is not the best evidence of military events that are observable by technological collectors. Such military events include convoy movements and artillery shelling from Russia.

US TV ran video clips of artillery fire, although the source of the information about shelling is from human sources, according to State, not ground-based video or other imagery sources. The video was file footage, but not labeled as such. Nor did it identify whose guns were firing and where the firing occurred. It was electronic age disinformation.

Another concern is that the shelling has been taking place for days to weeks, according to the press conference. However, no Ukrainian regime, army or National Guard propagandists or spokesmen have made claims about Russian artillery fire. It is inconceivable that Kyiv would remain silent about an act of aggression of this magnitude.

The third concern is the admission that some human sources reported that Russia “intends” to deliver heavier weapons and more powerful rocket launchers to the separatists. Intent, a mental condition, may be inferred from behavior of some kind: words spoken or physical action taken or both. Thus, for this evidence to be credible someone had to have heard someone else speaking or to have seen physical activities that imply intent, but not planning. The sources did not report that Russia “plans” to deliver equipment, only that it intends to do so. The State Department spokesperson also was not questioned about what people in the Russian leadership have this intent or when they formulated it and intend to act on it.

Finally, a Russian decision to provide more and heavier weapons to the separatists plus artillery fire support would mark a major shift in Russian policy for handling the Ukraine situation. The evidence could be accurate, but a shift of this magnitude would have many ripple effects in the open source information domain for many reasons. Those ripples have not been reported by any open sources.

At this point, today’s press statement featured an unprofessional disclosure of raw intelligence. The shelling has not occurred. The other information is unconfirmed.“(my emphasis)

There you have it folks – trust KGS Nightwatch to provide brilliant analysis and blunt …. “unconfirmed” and “unprofessional”…..  yep, Obama and his girls at work, yay for “girl power” taking over military matters in America.

“Messages of mhere” again….

Here’s a laugh, “Hillary Clinton blamed Bill’s sex addiction on the abuse he suffered as a child by his mother, new book reveals”

Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/new-book-hillary-clinton-blamed-bill-sex-addiction-abuse-child-article-1.1877769#ixzz38M9VWJtA

The woman, who will go to extraordinary lengths to silence other women, speaks about his child abuse, yet I have always wondered what made her the dangerous megalomaniac she turned out to be.

Oh my this story brought back nightmare memories, yep, I hearken back to my “Messages of mhere” story, in the Archives on the right side of my blog.  Oh, I long to someday offer the public decoder key to this story……… kind of like one of those old FBI stories, “the names have been changed, to protect the innocent”, except in this topsy-turvy world, I had to change the names to protect myself from the most powerful political machine in America, lol.  And I doubt this FBI would try to protect my rights.

Now in my story, here are some missing details.  I think it’s safe though to mention that the politics message boards mhere mentioned were the Excite message boards.  And I’d like to add that mhere wrote some letters during the long ago war that ended up at the Department of the Army and caused a stir, which angered the military leader, americanrommel,  mentioned in the story.  So, when the topic mhere wrote about on those Excite message boards happened, mhere suspected thatwitch2016 sent her sewer rats looking to find out who “mhere” was and they connected with americanrommel, who was by this time a favorite general of presidentmendacity.

Does the story start to make more sense now?  mhere doesn’t have any power, money or way to “prove” her story, and after all, as the story states, she was diagnosed by a real live shrink, arrogantass#1,  as being nuts and no one, not even her family, would listen to her.   It can be proved that she was handled quite irregularly while involuntarily committed, held for 18 days, then a hearing scheduled without even notifying her of it.  Her husband was called at night by arrogantass#1 to convince him that mhere should be locked away in a state mental hospital permanently, even though she was perfectly coherent, showered and dressed without any supervision, was completely aware of her surroundings, could communicate.  She refused to take any medication and refused to cooperate with their “treatment plan”.

All of the people mentioned in the story  (and more unmentioned ones too) who interacted with mhere in that facility can testify as to her ability to communicate.  The lawyer who represented mhere exists too.  Long years later she found a few men to help her in her quest, but still to prove her story is one of those “insurmountable obstacles” she loves to wax on about.  It would take fighting the most skilled media manipulators in the world and getting her story out on the national stage.  mhere has a plan.  mhere keeps wondering if there is justice and if her rights count, perhaps someday she’ll find out….

mhere offered the decoder key to three media folks thus far and none bothered to respond.  She keeps trying though.

High Noon at the border

Lest you all think I wandered off into lalaland about caring for these illegal immigrant children  in my last post, well I haven’t.  The truth is that until some politicians get their heads out of their patooties, these children are here and more are surely on the way.  And whether they get deported in a day or month or never, they still need to be sheltered, fed and supervised in a humane manner – this is required, because we are civilized human beings, not because of politics.  Of course, Glenn Beck does everything for publicity and to sell more books, but that aside these children need to be cared for until the politicians decide on a solution.  President Obama clearly does not have any coherent plan to deal with this escalating crisis, so here is an opportunity for governors and private citizens to band together and act.  Sure, “immigration” is a federal function, but a humanitarian crisis within a state certainly is a state and local issue.  Time to rise to the occasion and deal with these children’s immediate needs first.

At the same time a real, permanent solution must be found to quell this tide of illegal immigration and anyone hoping this President changes his cowardly, mealy-mouthed response at this late date is either a complete moron, a hopeless ideologue or insane.  President Obama does not know how to solve real problems, there you have the truth.  He never really worked doing real stuff in his life; he lives in the world of political theory, not real world problems.  He thinks his political ideology will solve real problems, when the truth is you have to roll up your sleeves and get down in the ditches and dig long, hard hours to resolve most real world problems.  It usually means you end up leaving the political ideology at home and turn to basic moral tenets (our religious faith, for many of us) to make it through the rough times each day.  A political solution must be reached; expecting President Obama to craft it is delusional.  So, that leaves us with the horde in Congress to act responsibly and reach a consensus to quell the flow of these children from Central America, compose a comprehensive law to deal with securing the border, how illegal immigrants will be processed, and allocating funding to accomplish this.  Securing the border must be the primary objective, because short of that, everything else rests as photo-op politics, not real solutions.

Russ Vaughn over at the American Thinker wrote an interesting piece, “Militarize Our Border?  O’Reilly, Here’s Your Plan”, on policing the border using US Armed Forces.  He states:

“Now comes the rub: liberals will scream to high heaven that our federal military cannot be used to police law violators on American soil, a violation of the Posse Comitatus Act.  However, troops in federal service have sworn an oath to protect this nation from all enemies, foreign and domestic.  Consider if you will that some of those poised on the south side of the U.S.-Mexican border intent on illegal entry into this country, in violation of clearly promulgated immigration laws, are foreign enemies determined to cross that border, subject to military capture and incarceration.  Whether or not our military has legal standing to determine illegal border crossers to search for terrorists embedded within their masses is a legal issue that will no doubt rise to the level of our Supreme Court.”

The problem in America is that the States and American people too often turn to Washington for leadership, awaiting solutions that never come, when The Constitution does not tie our hands to act on many issues confronting us.  Immigration, per se rests in the federal purview, but “we the people” and the States, rarely exert ourselves to carve out bold swaths left for us to decide within our constitutional framework.  States boldly acting in regards to the humanitarian crisis unfolding would give the States public support and clout when challenging President Obama’s political reactionary responses, which rest upon endless gauging poll numbers, consultations with focus groups and other political groups.  If State and local leaders could come up with real solutions for the humanitarian crisis and demonstrate a real ability to act, the political support would start to shift dramatically away from the President.  People gravitate toward real leadership, it’s human nature.  In those border states, the real leaders need to start banding together and quickly coming up with plans of action and then act.

A federal response must be reached and at this point securing the border should be of paramount importance, to quell flow of illegals. How quickly that can be reached might be dramatically impacted by States acting to take charge of the humanitarian crisis and forcing a showdown at High Noon with the lame Obama response.  Rick Perry should spearhead a plan for Texas quickly, then demand federal dollars for this emergency.  He should invite the press in and make them cover this chaos the Obama administration instigated and continues to encourage.

Bad news updates

The Dream Act, Part II (alternatively known as “Suffer the little Hispanic children”):

Here are a few of my thoughts today, take them or leave them, but here’s what I think.  The illegal immigrant children flooding our southern border rests as a disgusting sideshow deliberately instigated by President Obama and his female handlers in the White House to expand his DREAM act vision.  We have more Americans than ever in need of federal assistance to meet their basic needs and the President thinks it’s applause worthy to encourage tens of thousands of unchaperoned children to be shoved into America?   Nancy Pelosi, a mother, rushed to the border for a photo-op to welcome these poor children, who are merely political pawns for the left and she should be roundly condemned!!!  NO SANE MOTHER would encourage little children to be USED as political props like this!  IT IS REPREHENSIBLE and the HEIGHT OF SELFISH, BLIND, PARTISAN POLITICS!!!  NO MOTHER should praise these poor children, many sick being pushed across the border, with no adults to protect them.  That is one of those home truths, that his sycophantic supporters won’t recognize or acknowledge, but it’s the truth nonetheless.  What a thoroughly despicable, lying megalomaniac we’ve got in the White House and less you be confused, Barack Obama is only the puppet, the person I refer to is Valerie Jarrett, who is the one pulling all the strings. In fact, this President has surrounded himself by a bunch of dangerous, decidedly lawless women, who pull his strings and prod him to follow their dictates.   Without these women directing the White House activities, Obama would drift away and golf away the remaining time of his Presidency.   These biddies refuse to allow their far-left plans to moulder away, so hence you can expect more executive orders, more lawlessness, more ratcheting up of factional fighting, more chaos.  It is their plan.  Doubt me, if you wish, I am just putting forth my analysis and my predictions, so feel free to call me a kook, because I’ve been called worse before.

A Bergdahl Update (and you thought UCMJ mattered?):

Now, here’s a Bowe Bergdahl update, courtesy of CNN.  In case you were wondering, Bergdahl was released from in-patient care and is being treated as an outpatient.  His reintegration team ha been assisting him go off post to shop, etc. according to this article.  And here’s the part I found interesting, that despite the copious files compiled from the investigations when he walked away from his base, the reported letter he left behind,  and extensive interviews given by his fellow soldiers who were there when he disappeared, now CNN reports this:

“An Army fact-finding investigation conducted in the months after his disappearance concluded he left his outpost deliberately and of his own free will, according to an official who was briefed on the report.

But there was no definitive conclusion Bergdahl was a deserter because that would require knowing his intent, something officials couldn’t learn without talking to him, a U.S. military official told CNN last month.”

So, it requires talking to him to make this determination, really???  He also has no lawyer assigned to him, so whatever he is saying will not be allowed in any legal proceedings.  Well, I am not a JAG lawyer, so I’ll leave that to the poor Major General put in this unenviable position of determining whether to pursue a prosecution.

Watching the Rose Garden circus with President Obama and the Bergdahl parents, I will stick to the political and  tell you that this White House is waiting until some other events capture the public’s attention and then they will make their move and force the Department of the Army to drop the investigation and exonerate Bergdahl.  Perhaps, Bergdahl needs more drugs and therapy (a new brainwash) to be ready for the prime time roll-out, with, you can be sure, a fully rehearsed far-left legal eagle to watch over him.    They may conjure up some fictitious mental health issue or something to sugarcoat this bitter pill the Army will be forced to swallow, but nothing in the way they have forced military officials to handle Bergdahl  should lead anyone to believe he is considered a deserter by this Commander-In-Chief; no, he is Obama’s type of soldier – dubious loyalties to America, convert to Islam and turned his back on his fellow soldiers.  Yes, I am making radical predictions today, lol.  Time will bear out the truth.

How many more assaults on our vital institutions can America withstand and still remain a Republic, that’s what I have been pondering lately.  When does the Constitution become irrelevant due to executive criminality and legislative malaise, with a court decidedly tepid about making any bold moves?  Time to go read some Livy and think about our fate…

One American Team

Yesterday marked the centennial of the most debated “pivotal moment” surrounding the outbreak of WWI, the June 28, 1914 assassination of Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife, Duchess Sophia, by a Serbian nationalist.  Historians and lay people pinpoint this moment as setting in motion a series of actions by the various heads of state in Europe, who at this time could all trace their genealogy to the royal family in England, the Saxe-Coburg-Gotha monarchy (conveniently renamed the oh so British House of Windsor in 1917) or as one of my sons lays the blame squarely on “Queen Victoria’s greedy grandchildren”.

Glenn Beck frequently denotes current events as the Archduke Ferdinand moment too and while he often is correct in how he reads the raging Islamist Ascendency sweeping the Muslim world, often the dots he connects in concrete conspiracy theories leave me bewildered and confused.  Perhaps the way to read history is to try to step back and take a civilizational view of world events, then look closer at the little picture events such as the Archduke  Ferdinand moment and from there see what threads really do weave a clearer picture.

Some historians try to eradicate the people problems from history and deflate events to all sorts of other forces at play from resources to demographic surges, to intractable sectarian/tribal animosities, etc. Personally, while all these play into events, at the end of the day, I think, our fate, just like every other civilization’s  hinges on leadership – yep, who will guide our ship of state determines whether we can traverse around those giant icebergs, lying silent and menacingly beneath the surface of a calm sea.  Who we choose to captain our ship determines whether we will sink ignobly into the sea like the Titanic or bravely attack icebergs like our modern iceberg tracking, “FROM SEA, TO AIR, TO SPACE”.

Now, with the current implosion of the fledgling Iraqi state, the collapse of the Bush ME democracy project, the duplicitous and  dangerous support to radical Islamist extremists by Obama, the wolf in sheep’s clothing if there ever was one, we (the American people) are left with a totally failed foreign policy in a region set to go up in flames.  So, rather than cry over partisan spilled milk, let’s put on our “thinking caps” (if such still exist in this dismal failed educational system in America) and look at the map, define our national interests, really assess the “big picture” (the Sunni-Shia battle for control of the House of Islam), then figure out where we want to dig our firebreaks in this raging inferno.  No, let’s not become the air force for either side in this battle for Iraq.  How about we look to the potential for nuclear weapons ending up on the loose or in the hands of total loons, like the Mahdi zealots in Iran or some Taliban zealots in Pakistan or even worse some rogue Islamist crazies?  These situations should give us a great deal of anxiety and to mitigate disaster will take close cooperation between Russia, China, the US, our European allies and Israel (of course, help from some sane Muslim leaders would be helpful, but is unlikely and most likely untrustworthy).

Juxtaposed to the ME conflagration, President Obama has set in motion the Van Jones/Cloward-Piven plan, yes, it’s true, even if you’d like to pretend it’s not happening – “top down, bottom up, inside out” – written by the likes of Van Jones and Cloward-Piven radicals.  The immigrant children flooding the border presently are part of their manifesto, the partisan rancor, yep that too.  The demise of the American economy – deliberate there too.  Arming all these various executive branch agencies with SWAT team type forces, under the command of executive branch flunkies and the President, with no Congressional oversight or control, who are they going to “police”?  Another of their lynchpins is to foment race riots and incite civil uprising, pitting ethnic minorities against whites, workers against non-workers, the little guy against the corporations, etc. (a classic divide and conquer strategy).  Lawlessness at the highest level of our government leaves us in a decidedly dicey situation. Scary scenario, when even far-left icon, Noam Chomsky, fears the Obama surveillance state, “Chomsky: ‘Obama Determined  To Demolish The Foundations Of Our Civil Liberties'”.

We possess the most technologically advanced military in the world.  We possess a wealth of the world’s most creative and innovative people on earth too.  We have bequeathed to us  The Constitution of the United States, a framework built to weather political firestorms and repair our fractured American polity.   What we lack is a cohesive American national spirit, a common purpose for all Americans.  This divide will determine our future, the challenge to be faced is whether we can bridge the huge chasm that divides America into virulent partisan, ethnic, socioeconomic factions into one American team in time to respond to the outside crises multiplying rapidly and spanning the globe.  The time for slogans is past; the time to leap quickly to unite is here, it’s time to learn to be good citizens again.  Most won’t even notice the moment of decision, but the few who are awake will be the ones who step forward to lead.  Let’s hope we succeed  and  calmly unite our country into one American team again, without having to wing it, as in a story I wrote in March 2014, “Who will defend our castle?”

Obama offers 300 sacrificial lambs to Islamist radicals

“Iraq: Shia Cleric Issues Threat To US Forces” – :

“A Shia cleric loyal to anti-US cleric Moqtada al Sadr has warned that the 300 US military advisers en route to Iraq will be attacked.

In a sermon from Baghdad’s Sadr City district, Nassir al Saedi threatened what he called “the occupier”, saying: “We will be ready for you if you are back.”

For all the idiots who support lame-brained military action that follows no sound military or strategic sense, may the blood of these 300 sacrificial lambs be on your shoulders and when these brave soldiers end up as hostages or dead – look in the mirror and there you will find the blame!  Don’t run your mouth unless you really know what you are talking about!  Yes, I am furious that so many highly educated “experts” parade across our TV screens touting total bullshit on military matters.  What’s even worse is many of them served in the military and found an “in” to be a “military expert” (one wonders what’s really in their military record to bolster that title though).  Look, these 300 will be operating in hostile territory with no achievable purpose, they will be isolated from any real support to extricate them quickly if things go badly.  And before the grossly ill-informed military historians for the Obama administration try to use some whacked out parallel to King Leonidas and the Spartan 300 – hit your history books – it was a SUICIDE MISSION – they all died, including King Leonidas, so unless Barack Obama wants to lead from the front like that, people should be screaming “NO!” to this insane decision!

Best advice on Iraq!

“The first rule of foreign policy is if your enemies are killing each other, don’t step in to stop them.” – KT McFarland

Best advice yet on what to do about Iraq comes from the always astute KT McFarland lays out our national interests in Iraq, clearly and succinctly. Bravo KT, the first pundit/analyst who got it 100% right.  Her piece, which she put in simple Mom terms, we can all understand, describes how to apply this forgotten test:

“An important but often forgotten test for American foreign policy decisions is what is in our country’s national interest. It’s not about what is best for Iraq or Afghanistan or anyone else. The question is what’s best for America. We have three sustaining vital strategic interests in the Middle East: oil, terrorists and Israel. We want their oil, we don’t want their terrorists and we want Israel to survive in an increasingly dangerous neighborhood.”

Is it real of memorex…

One can only wonder if this story is fabricated – the timing is highly suspect:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/us-captured-benghazi-suspect-in-secret-raid/2014/06/17/7ef8746e-f5cf-11e3-a3a5-42be35962a52_story.html

It sure fits their narrative to spin a good story with things imploding in the ME.  And everything is “secret”, they can write whatever they want.

Defining a Team of Rivals

We live in a society where idiotic slogans and catchphrases pass for thoughtful ideas, strategies and concepts.  Last week the smartest woman in the world, aka Hillary, the longest-mile Secretary of State rolled out her long-awaited (boy,  that’s hard to imagine) new autobiography, “Hard Choices”, Clinton compares President Obama’s choice of her for secretary of state to that of President Lincoln choosing William Henry Seward (from a New Republic piece):

“But Hillary Clinton is, and will always be, Hillary Clinton. In Hard Choices, she playfully extends the oft-cited Team of Rivals comparison, likening Abraham Lincoln’s choice of William Henry Seward as secretary of state to Obama’s choice of her. Clinton writes of how she warms to the comparison, citing a contemporary of Seward’s who described him as “ruffled or excited never, astute, keen to perceive a joke, appreciative of a good thing, and fond of ‘good victuals.'” Sound familiar? It does to Clinton. “I could relate to that,” she writes.”

Doris Kearns Goodwin, an author of several historical works, has come under criticism more than once being accused of plagiarism.  For  a gist of the controversy, here is Eric J. Weiner, from a 2006 Huffington post piece:

“Kudos to the good people at the New York Historical Society for looking beyond the past sins of plagiarism committed by Doris Kearns Goodwin and bestowing on the prolific celebrity historian a prestigious award and $50,000 prize in honor of her recent biography of Abe Lincoln, “Team of Rivals.””

We all know the Clintons’ respect for the truth, so I wanted to give you my take on  Ms Goodwin and Hillary’s understanding of military history:

Here are two well-known, oft-used, simple sayings that have stood the test of time:

Let’s start with the Biblical version:   “A house divided can not stand”

Next let’s move on to the geopolitical/military strategic realm:  “Divide and Conquer”

So, it’s obvious to anyone with a functioning brain cell (that excludes most of American academia) that dividing teams is a way to defeat a team.  Thus, in simple language, “a team of rivals” is one the most idiotic things ever uttered and a contradiction in terms.  Perhaps, we should offer these two brilliant women a Thelma and Louise road trip to US Civil War cemeteries or the military cemeteries of World War I and let them count the dead, to see how that “team of rivals” pans out.  Unluckily for us Hillary seems far from the cliff’s edge and ready to hit the highways trotting out her same tired, old parsed lies, in her floundering book tour.

No better time than the present to remind everyone outside the DC echo chamber of The Gettysburg Address, obtained from the webpage, Our Documents:

Executive Mansion,

Washington, , 186 .

“Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth, upon this continent, a new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that “all men are created equal”

Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived, and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of it, as a final resting place for those who died here, that the nation might live. This we may, in all propriety do. But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate — we can not consecrate — we can not hallow, this ground– The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have hallowed it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here; while it can never forget what they did here.

It is rather for us, the living, to stand here, we here be dedica-ted to the great task remaining before us — that, from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they here, gave the last full measure of devotion — that we here highly resolve these dead shall not have died in vain; that the nation, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people by the people for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”

So, how about we agree to work toward a new American banner:

UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL!!!
