A rambling blog post

Our constant hysterical political climate disgusts me.  Trump’s constant braggadocio, petty attacks and rambling , fact-free word salads disgust me.  The Democrats and media hysterical spin about Trump disgusts me.  As far as political commentary or analysis goes, the various smart takes in 2016 remain the same in 2019, as our American political hamster wheel spins round and round.

For the most part lately, I’ve gotten off the daily habit of tracking the partisan spin throughout the day.  Perhaps if something interesting or new happens, I’ll write about it, but fair warning, the rest of this post will be another detour about my efforts to make peace between our consumerist culture and the myriad counter-cultural efforts to combat our wasteful American lifestyle.

Last night I watched a short CNN video on Twitter about a fashion designer, zero waste daniel, who started a clothing design business using only scrap fabric waste.  His approach of sewing together small scraps of fabric to create larger pieces of fabric, from which to construct his clothing designs, while being a trendy environmental-mindful concept, does highlight our society’s love affair with consumer goods, where most of us acquire way more than we consume and live totally unconcerned about our wastefulness.

There’s a common mindset among more conservative Americans and the political right to dismiss everything coming from the liberal environmentalist echo chamber, but perhaps we should all try to be a little more open to listening and considering the merits of ideas, before making snap partisan political judgments.

Many aspects of our environmentally conscious activism do stem from the political left, then take hold in American businesses, who react to the political activism.  Many businesses respond to and embrace the latest politicized framing of appropriate environmentally conscious policies.  This type of political pressure infuriates many on the right.

On the merits, though, pushing all of the politics aside, being less wasteful, using less disposable packaging and taking a more mindful approach to our consumer habits seem like very traditional, conservative American thrifty values, that would even have appealed to Benjamin Franklin and most of our American founders.  The less wasteful approaches definitely were ingrained habits to my parents and grandparents.

Moving to a crafting/needlework blog post, explains why I haven’t been blogging much lately…  I have been stitching away… using all stuff that’s been sitting here for many years.

I struggle with my consumerist mindset and am working to rethink my relationship with purchasing many items, that clutter up my home,  and often have never been used.  However, moving to a zero waste lifestyle takes way more commitment and effort than I will expend, so it’s small steps in my life.

For decades, I purchased loads of craft and needlework supplies, without much concern or thought about the possibility of having too much stuff.  Yet, the thought of parting with my craft and needlework stuff just isn’t happening yet, but I now strive not to buy more, unless it’s some basic supply that I really need.

A few years ago, I began an effort to make projects using only stuff I already have and that’s what that hummingbird cross-stitch picture above is.  I bought a bunch of small Spring-themed counted cross-stitch kits  (and some not so small ones too) on clearance at Walmart, over the many years that I worked there.  I stitched a couple of these a few years ago and posted a photo, but never fear, I have more to go:

I have a hard time seeing to stitch on 18-count, so I used 14 Aida cloth from my supplies for the  hummingbird and a bunny kit last weekend.  I bought two of the bunny kits, for no logical reason…:

I did finish that Diane Graebner Amish design (out of the hoop and needs pressing):

Learning more about finishing my needlework into some useful or decorative item leads me to read a lot of cross-stitch blogs and browse Pinterest frequently.  That habit leads me to want… more new cross stitch stuff, especially the nicer linens and evenweave fabrics and threads.  It takes a constant effort to remind myself that, while stitching on plain old Aida cloth isn’t as nice as stitching on expensive fabrics, these kits and Aida projects still look nice, I think.

Yesterday afternoon, I was torturing myself looking at the blog of a very talented cross stitch designer, Brenda Gervais.  All of her patterns scream, “I want to stitch that!”.  Gervais wrote a short background story to her 2017 series, Summer Schoolhouse ~ Lessons in Abecedarian.  She relates how she found a small children’s book while hunting for antiques, but it wasn’t just any old book.  It was a copy of the oldest children’s book in the Library of Congress and it’s considered to be the oldest children’s book in print.   This book contains the first documented use of the word, baseball.  In the process of browsing cross stitch blogs, I learned a new word: abecedarian and a bit of historical trivia too.

To fill my fix for something new, there are lots of free patterns online.  I stitched this free St.Patrick’s Day cats piece, by Lynn B., twice.  I am going to make them into little decorative pillows or perhaps frame them, but one is for a family member and then I liked these black cats so much, I stitched one for me too:

Yesterday, was another free pattern start, Russian Dolls, this one from DMC:

Plus, I have a bigger cross stitch project of a Liberty Bell, that’s in progress, but that one deserves a fancier Belfast white linen, not plain old Aida cloth.  Just started this, so it’s only the top of Independence Hall and some of the lettering:

Of course, still working on plastic canvas too:

Not sure what I’ll do with this house picture, but it’s a design that I like, so I stitched it…

It’s very hard for me to concentrate on writing lately, but I’ll try to get back to politics soon.

Go LB, to “about” the 52 (maybe better the 50 for the set-up) minute mark and you’ll find “a lawyer’s take” regarding Lt Colonel Scheller. As we thought – no institution wants to hold a hot potato!

    • Schellar wasn’t a “whistleblower” and that’s how lots of liberals framed Manning too, while people on the right howled “traitor.” Schellar was demanding “accountability,” which he never explained what sort of accountability he was demanding. The military has prescribed ways to report wrongdoing – IG, your Congressman, etc., but going to the media or posting on social media ain’t it. Manning’s conduct was way, way worse, imo, but Scheller was engaged in political activism and while I understand and share his outrage over the lack of any accountability among top brass and top Biden officials , I don’t have much sympathy for Scheller. Barnes’ argument that Scheller was demanding relief and remedy is bs. The accountability in the military comes through formal military investigative & judicial processes – not some random Marine posting on social media and trying to create a media firestorm. This case was hard for me to stick to my principles on what I believe about following the rules in the military, because I too was outraged with some top generals and Austin’s handling of the withdrawal.

      • JK's avatar JK

Barnes I very much doubt “has a real appreciation for WHY the UCMJ” but then again LB it seems to me “the perfumed princes of the Pentagon” in these latter days have either forgot the necessity of a separate Justice system or have deliberately chosen to ignore [on the behalf of politics?] the History of how & when the UCMJ came into existence in the first place. [Article 1]

But still, the first order of the [Civilians at the top – Recall the Constitutional Convention never contemplated ‘Standing Armies’] UCMJ was to assure accountability. across the branches of our Constitutional Republic – The Executive is CinC; Congress – before the 17th Amendment – doing “oversight.”

“Accountability” for all intents and purposes no longer exists as The Founders originally – again admitting they didn’t foresee the need of standing armies [Navy excepted] – expected.

But. Then again. Much has changed since The Founding – quaint ideas such as ‘no foreign wars’ and ‘secure borders’ being among the many now exceptions.

That the CinC – indeed it appears the military’s uppermost hierarchy “chose” to abandon principle informs me

        Something is seriously screwed up.

  2. “Something is seriously screwed up.”

JK, Kind of been pondering this dilemma of how to preserve and bolster critical institutions in America for many years, when at the top so much corruption runs unchecked. Don’t have any concrete answers, except on this Scheller was right in knowing there has to be accountability at the top – among the top at the Pentagon and within the Biden administration. Unless there’s some sea change in Washington, that “draining the swamp,” as Trump blathered on about, but didn’t deliver, we are doomed.

Trump really just wanted his political enemies held accountable, while he himself was cheered on for “Trump doesn’t play by the rules.” Don’t see any promising leadership on either side that’s offering any hope. And speaking of corruption, the DOJ restored Andrew McCabe’s pension and removed all records from his record that he was fired for cause. Durham turned up the heat just a tiny bit and the Biden administration or Obama’s third term is reacting quickly. Durham is why Christopher Steele is now doing puff interview with liberal media and trying to relaunch the Trump-Russian Collusion narrative.

As it happens LB, sometimes after I’ve typed up and comment – and posted it – I run across something saying it better than I did.

    https://tennesseestar.com/2021/10/19/commentary-the-steady-decline-of-our-once-beloved-military/

Yes Trump had his “issues” but that’s no excuse for, of all military positions[!] a member of the JCS goes around the same chain of command all the usual suspects are so outraged about when a lowly LtCol does it.

    • I actually agree with VDH’s assessment here. There’s an additional rule of decorum retired top brass should adhere, regards media commentary and that’s on social media. I have been shocked at some of the vile attacks on Trump that Gen. Hayden has made on Twitter.

Good Lord LB. Being busy with our move I suppose has something to do with my not dropping by your ‘currents posts’ page but, golllll eeee I just did and wow you been a very busy blogger lady!

I’d need to do a very thorough refresher to get me back up to speed on all the background stuff (Collusion Tale) which I ain’t gonna have time for. There is however this one fellow goes by the name of ‘Jim’ comments over on Col Lang’s site – seems to me to be quite the thorough fellow. Now I will admit I really only ad time enough to do a quick-scan of your most current post up but I failed to see mention of that Fiona Hill lady (admitting I very well coulda missed it) Anyway she sure seems to know alot of people and she certainly seems to’ve been a very busy one too:

It’s very likely this move (and other stuff) is gonna take me awhile so, thanks very much for keeping me (somewhat – my problem not your’s) in the loop.

Might be a good idea to check in on Mark’s site from time to time:

    https://havechanged.blogspot.com/

He is, in my humble estimation, alot like yourself LB. Seems a straight shooter but the big plus is, no dog in the fight, no axe to grind.

    • Mornin’ JK. Glenn Greenwald posted a Twitter thread about the media corruption regards the Trump-Russia Collusion this morning. This tweet sounds like something you’ve been warning about for years: https://twitter.com/ggreenwald/status/1457353516423524353

      • What Comey and his top FBI peeps did, turning the FBI into a contributor of the Clinton campaign, Brennan and Clapper did the same using US intelligence agencies..

    • JK's avatar JK

      As I suspected. Mark’s posted.

      • JK, Something that’s bothered me with the way male investigators have gone about investigating Hillary Clinton scandals is that they invariably focus on power player men, while pretty much dismissing the women in the background. The thing about feminists like Hillary and her circle of feminist cronies is they attach themselves to powerful men and use their power. For instance Glenn Simpson is a key figure, but right there with him is his wife, Mary Jacoby: https://www.conservapedia.com/Mary_Jacoby

There was a lot of focus on Bruce Ohr, whose wife Nellie Ohr is a Russia expert, who sent open source info to her husband, Bruce in the DOJ. I suspect if they trace her background and friends, there will be connections to other females like Mary Jacoby and Fiona Hill, and back to Hillary and her inner-circle of trusted female friends.

Even Huma Abedin attached herself to Hillary, but she married Weiner, who at the time looked like he was going to be a power player in the Democratic Party.

All along investigators look for electronic communication trails between these power player men in this scandal, but I suspect the real communications network was among the women.

Finally got a day I (choose) can do something besides what Sharon would have me do – it’s rainy!

Run this up to oh “about” the one hour mark at which point the conversation turns to that Danchenko stuff:

    • Thanks, JK, I’m going to watch it right now. I see they discuss Rittenhouse case too – saw the one “victim” testified he pointed his gun at Rittenhouse and that’s when Rittenhouse shot him… Kind of amazing testimony, but I’ll listen to the Danchenko part first.

  7. JK's avatar JK

Hmmm LB. I seem to remember you being a person “interested” in connecting dots?

Probably safe to skip (or skim) part 1 of this Alec Baldwin mystery series Right up your alley I think! (Just wait til you get the Part 3!)

    https://rumble.com/americasuntoldstories

(There’s gonna be a part IV very quickly but I’m betting hootoob is gonna yank it from airtime very very quickly

And guess who “seems to be” – however peripherally – connected?

    • I had absolutely zero interest in that Alec Baldwin thing, then you get me started on this, JK,,, I watched all three parts – and now can’t wait to see Part IV. These are some very strange dots, let’s just leave it there.

  8. JK's avatar JK

Well LB, I’ll admit to, sorta kinda, figuring you’d call ’em ‘strange dots’ but I didn’t count on you going whole hog “very strange dots.”

(I think what’s happened was all these videos originally aired on hootoob but then got “somebody’s dander up” (or something it would be polite to say) so then hootoob took ’em down – after a respectful grace period – at which point the vids re-appeared via Rumble.

I’d probably advise watch it while you can!

  9. JK's avatar JK

I can’t disagree with your analysis LB that the women, played “very significant” roles in all these goings-on, and continuing goings on.

I recall very well, some (seemingly insignificant at the time) some post of yours explaining the differences “the hows & whys” the operational goings-on occur.

I’ve learned much from you LB.

Pay especial attention after the six minute mark (Rittenhouse trial)

    • JK's avatar JK

As Turley alluded (above) “It depends on which media you’re watching.”

      • JK, It’s really nice to see so many people among the élite punditry class and some of the media finally realize how corrupt this spin information war is, especially with the powerful media orgs. This doesn’t just apply to liberal media, it goes with right-wing big media too, although liberal media has a much wider reach with controlling Hollywood, & other TV programming, plus now we have the enormously powerful social media platforms too. The only place right-wing voices have dominated has talk radio, thus the constant Dem whining & efforts to put more govt. controls in place.

America is past the point, I warned about for year, where we are now reaching the point of having vast information voids created by news orgs main goal being to manipulate and control news coverage to propel partisan political agendas.

Where the really serious problems will escalate is over the years our intel and military rely heavily of major news orgs for information, on which important decisions are made – same goes for our elected leaders. There’s absolutely no trustworthy source to vet information among the news orgs in America at this point and I expect this to get worse.

For most of my lifetime we were always worrying about hostile foreign misinformation and disinformation operations and here we are with our own rabid powerful elites using media in America to fuel a vastly corrupt spin info war, to confuse and manipulate the American people.

While many of these high-profile media people, probably are completely aware they’re lying through their teeth, unfortunately a lot likely aren’t aware. All it takes is getting sucked down a partisan spin rabbit hole or two, by trusting some big name “expert,” and once you believe those spin lies, it becomes much easier to believe more, but disturbingly, it becomes harder to find your way through all that fog of spin war and find your way to facts and seeing the truth.

Rittenhouse case is another canary that choked to death in plain sight, but no one’s going to do a thing on either side, except double down on their spin war efforts.

  13. JK's avatar JK

“While many of these high-profile media people, probably are completely aware they’re lying through their teeth, unfortunately a lot likely aren’t aware.”

I think you’re onto something there LB. Remember … well John McCreary (Nightwatch) used to always be onto it, calling attention to the phenomena that only really became obvious to “the rest of us” (government & media too) of what’s called being in the pipes.

And that being in the pipes was what DHS was originally set up to, mainly, address – ‘interagency & across-agencies’ [information sharing] insofar as *our homeland security was supposedly gonna get *fixed by.

The problem of being “in a pipe” being – what’s mainly apparent (and I suppose it’s true for everybody and not just “media people”) Anyway when one is in a pipe just about all that’s readily apparent is constrained to those people in the pipe.

Think of a pipe organ – you know like we used to see on tv whenever, for instance, some big doo dah, a statesman’s funeral or maybe a royal wedding or somesuch – anyway, there’s all these big lines of pipes lined up and each individual pipe is limited to only being able to produce a single tone. And for the music ‘to be able to happen’ all the pipes had to “cooperate” in an orderly fashion/progression.

I think that’s where the word – cacophony may have come from … lemme see … “1650s, “harsh or unpleasant sound,” probably via French cacophonie (16c.), from a Latinized form of Greek kakophonia, from kakophonos “harsh sounding,” from kakos “bad, evil” (from PIE root *kakka- “to defecate”) + phone “voice, sound,” from PIE root *bha- (2) “to speak, tell, say.” Meaning “discordant sounds in music” is from 1789.”

Yup – at least from since 1789.

But the point is, so far as all these media (and intel agencies) are concerned there appears no “desire” to be playing from the same piece of music [composition if you will] With the result being “the greater society/public” is the poorer for it.

Hard to win wars – nevermind hearts & minds – if all the pipes aren’t cooperating in coordination.

Ain’t no way to run a nation.

Sorry to go off on a tangent like this but I been reading a bunch of stuff along related lines – cargo ships clogging ports/supply lines bollixed up/oil pipelines being proposed to get shut down in the midst of what looks like a 80s style (Did somebody say ‘Call Jimmy Carter, we need help!’ lol) inflationary episode that ain’t gonna be at all helpful at gluing our increasingly splintering society anytime soon.

It’s times like these that not having all the different media outlets yelling at each other would probably be of some help.

    • Interesting points here, JK.

I saw Charles Murray harken to another behavior, Gell-Mann amnesia, that persists, especially it seems, among so many of our government people, from intel folks to elected leaders, to top military leaders. I had to google the term, ’cause I wasn’t familiar with it.

Despite that “revered” news sources they trusted were rabidly #Resist orgs. like WaPo and the NYT. Of course, some of the slickest operators were people like Brennan and Clapper, top FBI officials, etc., who actively leaked false or deceptive information to the news media to fuel the #Resist efforts of which, it goes without saying, the Trump-Russia Collusion narrative was the biggest effort.

As to your main point, being it “Ain’t no way to run a nation,” that has been my concern since 1998, when I inadvertently stepped into the Clinton scorched earth impeachment spin effort. Ever since that, I have been committed to exposing and defeating this corrupt spin info war, that has spread to the entire Democratic Party and Trump embraced it as a means of “fighting” the liberals.

At this point though, the media corruption has become so blatant that many people see how corrupt this spin info war is, although unfortunately most people make a binary choice that’s as awful as choosing Trump vs. Hillary or Trump vs. Biden. They invariably turn to right-wing media, if they distrust left-wing media and vice versa, when the truth is both left and right leaning news has become thoroughly corrupted by the spin war. And the major news pundit celebs. on the cable networks are all partisan hacks – that’s why they’re there, especially in primetime. There’s no real difference between Maddow’s hackery and Ingraham’s hackery.

Where the rubber meets the road, so to speak, is how devastating this politicization of our intel and military will likely be as this spin war continues to escalate.

Unfortunately, there are plenty of the smart set, on both sides, who believe that “if we only do X.Y.Z with our spin messaging effort we will win the spin war.”

There won’t be any winners in this spin war, except America’s foreign adversaries. For America and Americans the spin war only leads in one direction and that is a collapse of the system (which some leftist radicals have dreamed of for decades) and our nation becoming totally ungovernable. Sorry for the doom and gloomies here, JK.

      • JK's avatar JK

        Nope. “No winners.”

I’m in the process of telling my Grandkids – hell even my Kids! – how “Free” we were back at some point (I’m not yet settled on when that was exactly but near as I can tell it was aroundabouts Clinton’s NAFTA – but then again Nixon was the guy who “opened China” So I haven’t been able to settle upon an exact *moment in my own mind yet – I do know I experienced Peak America! but I’ve yet to figure [for myself] a reasonable period [moment] when that was “decided.”

And it’s just too damn bad my Grandkids (my Kids [lol!] perhaps for another reason) are not gonna have a clue as to what I’m talking about.

      • I haven’t pinpointed exactly when, either, JK. The West, not just the US, is on a strange trajectory… just today Austria: https://www.cnn.com/2021/11/14/europe/austria-lockdown-unvaccinated-intl/index.html

    • Thanks, JK. I hadn’t watched Part 4, so attempted that twice and fell asleep – they were yammering about the finances with that movie and money talk stuff makes my eyes glaze over. going to try Part 5 today. This Mark Groubert guy sure digs up a lot of fascinating information.

Not guilty on all counts. Unanimous decision!

    • JK, I have harped on for years about this corrupt Dem/media spin war, but they literally tried to convict this kid in their court of “public opinion,” framing this kid as a “white supremacist.” Although Rittenhouse has lawyers who will probably sue major media and perhaps even some top Dem elected officials, this spin war shows no signs of slowing down. This kid should never have been charged in the first place.

And now that big corporate media has spent weeks hyping the trial and doing everything they can to incite more rage, there are BLM and other far-left groups poised to protest (riot) and there will be plenty of people riled by the media hype, who might rush to join in.

      • JK's avatar JK

I know LB. As usual the usual suspects made much of the argument ADA Krause made about “Why didn’t he just rely on your fists – I remind you all these people were unarmed!”

Trying to bring to their attention (in comments) I found my comment[s] supremely un-appreciated. And the doggonedest thing was I didn’t actually use any verbiage whatsoever – just a simple link to wit:

” there are [groups] poised to [mostly peacefully] protest who might rush in.”

Well rioting, however mostly peacefully in Kenosha over the next few days and/or nights! appears to me to be a whole ‘nother prospect than it was then:

Don’t know LB whether I’d agree the blue checkmarks do most however I do think they’re more effective. In other words, Team Red might get riled up some but they seem to be the types who mostly carry along lawn chairs and pick their trash up.

Team Blue on the other hand, if there’s any lawn chairs around those will be set alight but at least whatever city’s sanitation crew is on standby for the aftermath, they can expect overtime pay. At union payscale rate.

The “spin making” efforts however seems to me to be about 50/50.

Came this close (fingertips so near whether a sheet of paper would slide through … ?) to putting this one on your current post.

Backstory is I’d always and ever cooked turkeys in a tub of hot peanut oil – whether over an open fire, a propane burner, whatever. Then in ’02 after my injury didn’t bother trying to cook another until 2011 – problem then was being in the apartment complex [ice storm place remember] Anyway I was hitting up everybody and his sister I knew (that I thought reliable) for “How do I do this in a electric oven?”

    Then somebody emailed me this:

Not gonna do no coconut cream pies though nosiree. Heck no!

    • Omg, JK, that’s hilarious and exactly how I felt today, except I don’t drink, lol. Looking at the amount of leftovers though, I sure felt like drinking. For years I’ve used one of those counter top electric roaster ovens for the turkey, so my oven is free for sides.

I’m pretty sure I’m done with turkey for Thanksgiving. As you might have noticed I have a hard time with change – 41 years, counting this year, making turkey, which I don’t even like…

It is very interesting though I must say

You know LB awhile back, but not so long ago I was rambling on about how our generation would be the last to have experienced “Peak America” then, going on that I couldn’t put my finger on exactly when it was everything started downhill. I recall mentioning possibly Nixon’s opening China but the plain fact of the matter on that is, the way ‘all things China’s worked out ultimately to this point doesn’t mean it was inevitable that it went the way that it did – after all at the point China was at most a fourth rate slum. Heck Viet Nam (shortly after ridding themselves of us!) had China invade it and look how that turned out!

But then I’m (sadly) reminded there was a Bob Dole and I think that settled the matter of timing for me. His losing his ’96[?] Potus campaign was the death knell of Peak America.

All downhill from that moment on.

    • I haven’t felt like blogging lately, JK – dealing with some medical stuff right now. I am still trying to follow the spin war a bit, which still poses more of a threat to America than even China, I believe. If we can’t unite America on anything or even have any news reporting where the left and right trust the veracity of the news orgs., we’re pretty much doomed. All of our govt., intel, military and even police orgs rely way too heavily on news organization for information. Although I’m sick to death of even saying the words “spin info war,” that’s what propels the American news, American politics and most of our security information assessments.

Another weird event over the weekend in DC occurred – that Patriot Front march, where the marchers all wore khaki pants and had their faces covered. The liberal media identified and amplified this group as some far-right extremists, but the whole thing smelled like another Dem. false flag operation. Some new Twitter account was the first to amplify this march, then the Trumper Twitter commandos started caterwauling that the march was a FBI operation, but the thing is I have no idea what all was going on. I’m only sure this smells peculiar.

Some Twitter account ran this thread – don’t know anything about this account either: https://twitter.com/jarvis_best/status/1467586508269899777

I suspect how fast the liberal media backs away from this Patriot Front march story will be a good indication of whether it was a real right-wing extremist march or something other than as advertised.

The FBI should be concerned that a sizable portion of the political right no longer trusts the FBI. Everyone should have been alarmed about that corrupt Dem operation in the Moore AL senate race where Dem operatives worked with some big Silicon Valley execs. to field fake Russian bots that were supporting Moore, then Dems & liberal media spun up that Moore had Russian support. Instead, a couple of those execs. apologized, claimed they had no knowledge of the details of the operation and the liberal media zoomed past that story.

There should be an investigation into this march to get to the bottom of what was going on. Way back in the Charlottesville Unite the Right rally, a conservative writer at The Federalist, Stella Morabito, wrote on her blog about how paid “activists” for both sides traveled on the same buses to Charlottesville and were just paid street performers really. With this march over the weekend, the protesters arrived in U-Hauls…

“The liberal media identified and amplified this group as some far-right extremists, but the whole thing smelled like another Dem. false flag operation. [..] The FBI should be concerned that a sizable portion of [alot of people] no longer trusts the FBI.”

I sincerely hope LB your ‘medical stuff’ resolves in your favor. We’re all well here although the move is proceeding slower than Sharon and I had hoped – pretty much all our stuff is out of storage and into the house but the big issue at present is the funding for all the moving parts (pun unintended).

  23. JK's avatar JK

Gosh. It just dawned on me what the date is.

  24. JK's avatar JK

    Just reporting LB …

    • Thanks for that JK. I still don’t know what to make of this march, but the instantaneous dismissal of it as being legit by many prominent right-wingers on Twitter led to the usual liberal media Twitter spin crowd to back away from this story quickly.

Then on Monday, WaPo, tried a different angle: “A white supremacist march in D.C. was pushed by a fake Twitter account, experts say”

      https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2021/12/06/white-supremacist-dc-march-patriot-front/

I still don’t know what to think about this march, but something is very bizarre about, not only the march, but the liberal media spin behavior – like they were not expecting the strong right-wing reaction dismissing the liberal media march narrative completely.

      • This fake account that was supposedly the Twitter amplifier for the Patriot Front march reminded me of the Covington video – with the false narrative and all the signs that account, @2020fight, that amplified that video, was a fake account. Seriously, that fake account was called @2020fight… lol. That account used a photo of a Brazilian blogger, then Twitter’s so-called investigation supposedly determined the account belonged to just some San Francisco school teacher. I don’t believe that for a minute. Twitter, I strongly suspect, aided Dem operatives in making that account (and the story) go away.

Just to let you know LB. We’re all fine. Mom at her house, unaffected.

Ours, though structurally unaffected where did all those boxes we had for the trash pickup guys go?!!! (and this morning our dog is treating us with a very accusing look “Hey you two humans; first night in this place and this is what you treat me to? And oh by the way JK, didn’t I tell you your Mom needed protected?!!!”

But still – we (all) nearabouts were Mightily blessed – sounded & fury-ed awful bad here but thanks be for our mountains. Those poor folks down east of us in the flat parts (delta) though don’t look like, made out so well.

    Oops Part II

    https://malcolmpollack.com/2021/12/22/openvaers/

(Do, of course take a look at his previous post.)

    • JK, one of my sons got 2 Pfizer shots and he got very sick with both shots. He said he isn’t getting a booster. I’m diabetic, so I opted for two shots (Moderna) and the booster, but the 2 shots lasted 6 month and now they’re saying the booster might last 10 weeks. I am not inclined to get another booster in 10 weeks,

  27. JK's avatar JK

Of the 11 of my (relatively for the greater number but I am around ’em all quite frequently) *close friends who’ve decided the [Pfizer/Moderna/J&J] vaxxes were in their best interests, all but one declare “Ain’t taken no more!” for various reasons (one of the reasons I might add is that three of ’em are now dead – all in their early 70s, but I’d also add none of those had any previous diagnosis of any of the *public/media acknowledged comorbidities.

My closest two friends say some version of ‘I haven’t felt well for two consecutive days since I took the ones *they told me that’d be all the vaccinations I’d have to take so why should I trust what they’re telling me now” – (neither are saying it like a question rather a declarative sentence thus I’m not ending this sentence as a interrogatory rather a period.

I *lucked out myself – owing to most of my 100% rating being a previous chem exposure affecting my pulmonary system *they said “too much risk” (plus at the time, before the vaccines were widely available the antibody had showed up in my lab tests) so I guess I lucked out.

This link may not open for you but there’s a couple precautions I’d recommend as I’ve been doing ’em ever since Tom Cotton made the first public announcement (back when all the media were focused on impeachment!) Anyway I’ve been taking 6000 IUs of D3 and 40 mgs zinc and doing the gargle thing like it says here:

    Click to access FLCCC-Alliance-I-MASKplus-Protocol-ENGLISH.pdf

I WILL NOT go so far as to proselytize that stuff but I would point out that I’ve been around alot of *supposedly active covid cases – ‘supposedly’ because they’d all tested positive and were in various stages of quarantine whether they had (or were exhibiting) any of the ballyhooed symptoms. I would add I don’t go anywhere near any of the covid wings any of the medical facilities I’ve had to visit for other stuff – colonoscopy & prostate stuff (LOL [I guess] the WuFlu ain’t interested in any of my lower parts!)

Now having typed all that it may seem I’m saying some version of “it’s a hoax” but actually I ain’t saying that at all – it’s real alright the only real question – in my mind – is origin and why have a bunch of unelected bureaucrats been given the power to wreck so much stuff?

And as it’s you LB rather than some other blogger I don’t suppose I have to ask but I’ll type it anyway – Why has the media been so enthusiastically complicit?

    • I replied to this comment yesterday JK, but I must say the effort to silence opposing views, with Twitter suspending Dr. Malone’s account backfired miserably. Joe Rogan’s interview has been buzzing all over Twitter and there are video clips and threads galore about the interview.

  28. Well, JK, To answer your question first, as you know, my blog has been filled with me rambling on about the Dem/liberal media spin war & while I’m glad more and more people are waking up to that corruption, Trump has only tried to create a corrupt right-wing media to compete with the Dems. That’s the problem – so many people on the right are invested in using the same corrupt spin war tactics and none of that is good for America writ large. My biggest fear was that even the US military would become engulfed in the culture war crap too and that’s already well underway.

I’m disturbed with how the social media platforms became just another arm of the Democratic Party’s spin war machine, just like almost of all the “mainstream” media. The social media platforms started that banning for “misinformation” with “Russian mis and disinformation” to fuel the “Trump/Russia” spin crap and then with Covid it escalated to banning people who had differing opinions. It’s amazing how easily they can silence people and on top of that these big tech giants work to thwart new platforms.

With Covid, my other son didn’t get sick from the vaccine shots & booster, but he did get Covid not that long after the booster. My oldest daughter tested positive for Covid this past week, mild cold symptoms – also vaxxed and boosted. I didn’t feel well a few days this past week – a little bit of fever one day and cold symptoms – nothing major. I have the luxury right now of just staying at home away from people and that’s what I did. Plus with all my prepping stuff – I have plenty of food, my medications and necessities.

I have taken Vitamin D for years, have C here & should start taking that again and I might add zinc too. I clear all my supplements with my primary care, because I’m diabetic and on several prescription meds.

I’m truly not schooled in science, JK, but every vaccine pronouncement by our illustrious health officials in Washington has turned out to be wrong and on their social experimentation with “mitigation,” well they’ve been making it up as they go & it’s all driven by politics. Just sick of all of Covid drama and don’t trust anything “the experts” say at this point. And in the beginning, I was overly trusting and all for doing this stuff for two weeks to “Slow the Spread” and then it became obvious that these extreme measures were just power grabs.

What’s bizarre is watching the news from other countries, where they keep reverting to mitigation stuff that has nothing to do with science. Spain & Portugal (maybe some more countries now) went to masking outside again… It’s like these crazy health experts & political leaders all go into panic mode. China’s got an entire province locked down, although about a week ago they officially said they only had 9 Covid cases in the entire country, lol.

There’s some crazy crap on Twitter with “experts,” especially I’ve noticed with many liberal doctors and epidemiologists. Yesterday, a female epidemiologist was asked about a N95 type mask not fitting her child snugly enough around the nose. This expert advised the parent to tape the mask on the kid. Another female doctor tweeted that she and her family were not leaving the house – ordering all groceries delivered, no visitors and her kids can’t visit anyone or go outside. These behaviors are fear-driven batshit crazy, imo. Most people around here just go about their daily lives with none of this craziness. I still see a lot of people who wear masks in the grocery store, but more and more don’t.

Read this Twitter thread and I think this professor is onto the class divide with all of this: https://twitter.com/ScoLatham/status/1476637010727161867

    • I listened to almost an hour, JK, and got tired, plus I saw a lot of video clips on Twitter. I’m pretty much worn out with podcasts and the Covid insanity right now.

I have been wondering why the “experts” talked down every possible treatment from the beginning, so by the time they Dem/liberal media spin effort reached casting ivermectin as horse laxative, despite reading other countries were using it, I felt like there’s a concerted effort to discourage some treatment options that aren’t big moneymakers for large drug companies.

And with the push for vaccines – governments and big multinational orgs. have invested massive amounts of money into funding and buying vaccines, so they can’t admit they don’t work as advertised – stopping the spread. Sure, it’s huge benefit if the vaccines lead to milder symptoms, but people should be able to weigh the risks vs. benefits and it differs from person to person. Plus, it’s obvious there’s been an effort to silence and downplay any reports of side effects or adverse reactions.

Malone raises some interesting points, but the effort to silence him raises even more interesting ones.

I see you’ve been busy since last I commented. It would appear LB my Friend you’re beginning to get close to being about as worried/concerned about our “Representative” Republic as I (and … well perhaps not so surprisingly to such as yourself … Brett Weinstein. & Others some prominent some not) am so increasingly.

It’ll likely be awhile before I can get back here (we been having scads and scads of “unexpected” snow & at those times I simply stay off the roads – plus we’re still in the process [!] of getting moved in)

At any rate LB. Keep your head up and be *prepped as you figure I probably am (meaning: not going overboard nor ‘falling for the current USG fear porn’).

Honestly LB, I’m kinda worried about people not so fortunate as to be … well first probably, living in the Ozarks (LOL – I usta think “a great many” people hereabouts were absolutely nuts but now where I think “the great many nuts” are is …) Secondly, but generally speaking (which is very important!) political affiliation is something that just simply hardly ever comes up in our day to day affairs. And actually, 99.5% of those who do make some point about bringing up their political affiliation totally comprehend they’re in that minuscule 00.5% group who most of us be us D or R (or more often I like myself) don’t really think about very much.

Not meaning that – if I drove past one of them in the ditch I wouldn’t stop to help ’em as I could nor, for that matter, that that 00.5% wouldn’t, if they saw me stuck in the ditch, stop and help me. God I love living in a …

Take care of you & yours LB

Barnes doesn’t come onto the podcast until ‘about’ the 20 minute mark but then it gets quickly into gear. Then at about the 45 minute mark a subject (albeit particular to Canada) comes sharp into focus.

I’m only onto about the 50 minute mark now (because we’ve got icy precipitation due “pretty soon” and I intend to be home as soon as the radar shows its getting uncomfortably close to me)

At any rate I figured this was about the best thing/site I could catch to help me get up to speed on alot of stuff, I’m guessing you will find it helpful too.

Brett and Heather were correct on so many things and they, among too too many others, paid the price for it.

    • Thanks, JK, I had started listening to this podcast the other day, but hadn’t finished it.

One of my sisters was telling me about one of our brothers and his wife getting Covid recently and they both went to a doctor, who prescribed a z-pack, ivermectin and a steroid, I think she said. My sister told me that if she gets Covid, she’s going to go to this doctor too, even though he isn’t her primary care doctor. She said he’s one of the few doctors in their area who prescribes medications for early treatment.

There sure seems to be an incentive by big pharmaceuticals getting rich off of vaccines melded with an unholy political alliance to push a social mitigation & vaccines ONLY approach.

      • JK's avatar JK

Now be certain I am not qualified to offer medical opinion[s] so whatever I type that follows is merely my experience! Sufficiently prefaced I shall proceed.

I was diagnosed with asthma at age three (1959) .. began an eight year series of twice weekly allergy shots 1964 which, by the time I was 17 enabled me to enlist. Was in the near vicinity of some oil well fires for near eight months (exiting OCT 91 – civilian position liaising w/mil) earning myself a pretty impressive diagnosis of COPD. Triple whammy diagnosis of emphysema *officially added SEP 02 (but, admittedly as I’d ‘flirted’ with cigarettes oh, near fifty years ago but then in ’79 becoming a “dedicated & confirmed smoker” – I figure that was inevitable. Why not earlier? Hoo Noes?!!!) Anyway that last got me a 100% disability rating – non-service connected but nevertheless VA declared.

Log story short – compromised pulmonary condition. Be that as it may.

Covid comes along (Thanks Senator Cotton for the heads up!) and I immediately increase my D3 intake from my (my MD Dad way back in ’93, aware of medical literature saying “D3 appears to ameliorate respiratory problems”) up my D3 intake from 1000 IUs daily to 2000 IUs. – Subsequently becoming aware of Dr. Pierre Kory’s Senate testimony (before social media buried it) I upped it to 4000 IUs but as winter this year began settling in I’m currently taking 6000 IUs. Plus 50 mg zinc, 500 mg C and a multivitamin occasionally.

Then again as I recall LB, I seem to remember telling you about my participating in a genetics study [VA] and that back, soon after a house fire I’d learned – they do extensive lab work on me – anyway this was before the vaccinations were even available but at any rate at that time they said, “You’ve got the antibody and that’s as good as it gets. You’ll never have to worry about having to wait for a vaccination!”

But then again at that time nobody really had a clue who Anthony Fauci was, or indeed, what part and to what extent the role was he was playing in the narrative. That was to come later.

(This incidentally has very recently has buttressed my *thinking

Pretty sure Fauci ain’t gonna be going on CNN touting that!)

& I really probably ought not type this onto here – but LB, yeah I want you to go ahead and publish this comment. I think it’s important people know the narrative has all along been just that, a narrative or, in other words, propaganda.

(But the part I maybe ought consider is my going ahead and including this: I’ve – since even before Rachel Maddow & Company went all hysterical saying People are lining up at hospital ERs because of “Horse dewormer” [Ivermectin] overdoses!!! I’d already been taking the stuff for quite awhile. And yes the veterinary version.

Now then LB I suppose it’s perfectly understandable for such as yourself to say “Ewww!” But what you must bear in mind is where I live the stuff [Ivermectin] is ubiquitous – every farm I know of within a 100 miles of me uses it regularly and we who administer it to our livestock cannot help but come into direct contact with the stuff. Hell even the Amish use it (for their horses … well actually; who knows)!

        ***

Now all that stuff said above – Do I think Covid is real and is it a threat?

        Most definitely yes.

Do I know people who died with it on their death certificate?

Yes. Twelve. (Though the three most recent were “vaccinated” – and of the four I know personally, hospitalized with it today, two are not vaccinated – tho’ in their 80s and never ever even took a flu shot. One is vaccinated and boostered [18 days ago if my count is right] and the other one is vaccinated but not boostered.

LB I gotta tell you the truth – I don’t know who (or what) to believe.

      • “LB I gotta tell you the truth – I don’t know who (or what) to believe.”

Funny you ended with this, JK, because that’s exactly where I’ve been at for many months. I suppose I hit data fatigue before we were a year into Covid, but I must say that although Trump got attacked constantly for lying and spreading “misinformation” and liberal media ran a 24/7 to ostensibly “protect us” from Trump, the complete collapse of the professional class information systems astounds me.

Since Biden’s been in office it feels like the pillars of the major institutions we rely on are becoming shakier every day.

For every study that purports to show X is true, there will invariably be several studies hyped that refute that and assert Y is true. Within 24 hours the process repeats with even more studies that assert Y isn’t true and on it goes. I gave up on listening to the “data” and definitely cringe when I hear we’re supposed to “trust the science.” Fauci and that CDC director sound like slippery politicians, who will say anything to push the Biden administration narrative.

Mostly, I’m back where I started before Covid with how I respond to seasonal viruses – trying to boost my immune system with some vitamins, working harder on my diabetic diet, washing my hands. I have always been a person who hates crowds and prefers some personal space from people in public – so I naturally keep some distance between myself and other people, lol.

However, the complete destruction of my trust in the medical community writ large has left me a bit shaken and the revelation that so many of the most prestigious medical experts seem more like partisan zealots and/or total quacks really made me question my own naiveite.

  33. JK's avatar JK

“Something” curious happened as I was watching that. So, maybe this link will work better:

    https://odysee.com/@BretWeinstein:f/EvoLens115:1

    • Well, JK, I expect the Dem/liberal media/big tech “misinformation” purges will escalate. It will backfire as more and more people get tired of the liberal elites trying to control speech and herd people toward their preferred narratives.

Gonna be a strange and tumultuous ride, I suspect. I predicted years ago that these Dem/media spin games would spiral out of control. None of the “thought leaders” on either partisan side in America have any sort of well-thought out plan for ending this spin war and many still seem to believe that one side of partisans will “win” this race to the bottom of abandoning all the rules and any sense of decency.

  36. JK's avatar JK

Hey LB, for what it’s worth ‘truckers’ I know – and that’s actually quite a bunch if only because Arkansas is home to the largest individual trucking companies ever (in the US) JBL trucking when I was younger, JB Hunt nowadays. Lemme see …

    https://encyclopediaofarkansas.net/entries/trucking-industry-5062/

Anyway my point on that subject is that very few “individual” truckers are gonna risk joining up with whatever the “national effort” turns out to be.

Onto another subject – figure about the seven & a half mark – predictive stuff figuring into and onto why the various governments [fed & states] are choosing quite recently to back down on “the mandates” related stuff.

    https://rumble.com/vv7p4y-dr.-robert-malone-and-dr.-pierre-kory-covid-19-predictions-and-world-econom.html

Predictions (at least predictions that turn out accurate) as you LB probably appreciate are more valuable than hindsight.

    • JK, Honestly, protest crowds are always a very small fraction of people, in general, I think. I can’t see myself or many people I know ever participating in a protest. I hate crowds and even organized parades, so there’s no way I ever want to be anywhere near a protest. I suspect it will be the competing news media narratives and the government responses (if any) that will determine how much of an impact this has in America.

I must say that Dr. Malone has some interesting things to say each time I see him in a video or podcast.

      • JK's avatar JK

Yeah I think Malone hasn’t really a personal interest [financially at any rate] in what’s happened. I see him quite frankly as a “straight shooter” in these days and this Age. Everybody else it seems to me has some sort of conflict [mostly financial it would seem to me] overall in however “we” choose to call it.

(Historians will figure it out about 500 years from now!)

Anyway – the faithful Always & Ever Trumpers I’m more frequently finding myself conflicting with on “the narrative” can’t seem to understand (or maybe, ‘allow’) as, it wasn’t Biden who shut the economy down actually it was Trump [as President] who shut it down.

(Now I’ll allow as Trump was a neophyte where “understanding how the federal government actually works day to day and that’s truly where he proved to be such an amateur – [he never quite grasped coming into conflict with the Clinton Machine would prove his ultimate downfall] – but at any rate his not understanding, fundamentally that it isn’t the politicians who hold ultimate power in DC rather the bureaucracy is what doomed him. And his ego of course.)

Regardless, it wasn’t Biden who “shut the economy down” [fifteen days to flatten the curve] Trump was the President who shut the economy down. True there were Blue State Administrations [and bureaucracies] perfectly willing (and perfectly situated) to “help doom him” but at the end of the day he, as President, held the ultimate Word whether to say, “Yes I’ll shut down the economy” or on the other hand, “No, I will not shut down the economy.”

That he chose the way he did is on him – nobody else. Now I will allow as him, not [appreciating] understanding how … well most times “we Americans” imagine our elected politicians run the federal government that’s not actually how “the government” really works.

Dr. Malone on the other hand actually does [mostly – he hasn’t a clue how powerful/influential the IC is] have a clue about how strong an “influence on policy” our federal bureaucracy in reality actually wields.

Here’s an excerpted *admission from our esteemed Doctor Collins:

        – Of course in the interests of full disclosure the whole clothe:

(The thing to remember Dr. Collins playing a quite significant role in what’s recently befallen us.)

        Malone is an unknowing Patriot.

There’s a big bunch of other individuals who, thinking themselves Patriots were rather, just Unknowing.

      • JK, I’m just sick of all the partisan politics and don’t see how either side is going to change anything, except keep escalating their stupid spin war. Most of the the Washington pols are now more actively engaged in their Twitter and media spin garbage than caring one iota about the people they’re supposed to represent.

From what I’ve seen, I agree with you on Malone.

  37. JK's avatar JK

My my LB but you’ve been quite the busy bee!

(Been awhile since I visited your “current posts” page.)

    • Taking today off from blogging, JK, LOL. Did look at Twitter a bit today and saw a new Dem spin term floated “low-intensity insurrection,” which shows Dems and the liberal media elites are still working hard on their narrative for the trucker protest thingy that’s supposed to start soon in America. Frum floated trucks as “weapons of economic warfare” the other day. We’re in for more craziness, that’s for sure.

      • JK's avatar JK

        Oh. My. God.

But actually, I kinda figured something *like that* was gonna take place – and actually it really does make sense that, of all big tech media (which yes, does include the televised version[s) that the first shot across the bow occurs on Twitter.

Which brings me to the point of my, this visit (I’m soon as finished here will be going back to mine and Sharon’s place – no net there + Mom wanted some pruning done before Spring springs)

At any rate. That video you got up where the City Prepper guy is going on several points about “information warfare” being a major major tactic in today’s sorts of battlefield shaping …

Okay. My last one (I fully expect) featuring Dr. Malone but as you’re “Taking [time] off” I figure this’ll give you something to do – Uhmmm … well yes it’s Tucker too but unusually for Tucker he acually lets Dr. Malone do more [most really] of the talking than Tucker does.

And Malone seems to be on the same page as the City Prepper guy – matter of fact, eerily so. And it certainly appears to me – this interview took place some days after the one above (with Dr. Kory on it) because [Malone] references what was said then but does not appear to have been before the Congressional hearing at this point:

        https://rumble.com/vuqq90-dr.-robert-malone-reveals-the-entire-covid-crime-against-humanity-globalist.html

(Kinda funny – in a weird way – hearing how “uncomfortable” Malone was about going on some of the shows he’s been forced to since what Big Tech’s done to him too.

        Well, funny to me anyway.)

Enjoy your week LB. Mine’s gonna be including a bunch of gardening type activities. I’ll try to check back in by maybe Wednesday, sooner if it rains. Later if the weather cooperates.

Look back LB and note how long I’ve been “warning” Nuland & Co. have been creating and building toward what *they maybe have got “us” into:

“Evidently armor and mech infantry moving into the Donbas. Perhaps Putin hold BOJO and bad grandpa in such contempt that will advance to the Dnieper line. State Department is, of course peeing in their pants.”

    https://turcopolier.com/putin-tells-biden-and-the-west-to-pound-sand/

Good God what has the failure of the Covid narrative wrought?!! It was, though I’m not liking it much, ‘okay’ for my gasoline prices to go up from $1.69 on election day to today’s $3.29 but for God’s sake – “us” (and our … ahem [cough cough] Thoroughly Modern Milley Armed Force! Oh my dear Lord what have our idiots wrought?

Quick somebody! Nominate Victoria Nuland for a Nobel Peace Prize so we can all pretend our politicians aren’t as stupid as they’re making themselves appear.

    • Well, JK, with this crowd in the Biden WH, I expected Ukraine to go about as swimmingly as the Afghanistan withdrawal debacle and now that they’ve been shown to be clueless nitwits – again – I expect they and their liberal media friends will beat a hasty retreat from even talking about Ukraine. I expect they’ll claim some sort of diplomatic success., just like they did with Afghanistan, then flip to a new narrative – perhaps something they can foam and froth at the mouth about – Trump-centric. Off the top of my head, the trucker’s protest kicking off in the US shortly will provide a handy narrative shift. On top of that, many of the Trumper pundit crowd didn’t want to talk about or care about Ukraine anyway and are totally invested in events happening in Canada. That’s just my hunch. Everything with this Biden WH is about their “narratives.”

I kid you not, there were Biden-friendly “experts” and journos yesterday trying to claim Biden had achieved a diplomatic coup already and then today Putin just gave Biden and European leaders the middle finger.

Heh heh … when I hear such from you LB you needn’t preface it with a “I kid you not.”

“I expect they’ll claim some sort of [diplomatic] success … just like they did with Afghanistan then flip to a new narrative ..”

I think probably LB, you’re absolutely correct.

(Mom made a roast today and had ‘us all’ over – I expect it’ll be awhile before I get to check back in with you.

Maybe longer than I expect if Victoria Nuland succeeds in getting us all nuked!)

      • That entire Kagan clan is a menace to American foreign policy.

I worry – much – “Biden’s State Department” is gonna get us in a real pickle.

What happened that “become clear” begins?

Unidentifiable trolls maybe, perhaps Twitterers who can’t understand you’re about the most equal-opportunity-partisan-critic on the whole blogosphere?

On another note LB, I sure pray your preps are fairly stocked.

“I think” my neck of the woods *should be alright, though fuel is definitely gonna be a problem – figure it might be a good idea to get a locking gas-cap – went up 80 cents in just the past 5 days. Probably not as high as it likely is your way but most people around here don’t have access to the jobs like what’s your way.

    Thank God for the Amish.

All the best my Friend. Stay safe and sane.

“[T]he whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. Wars are no longer waged by the will of superior men, capable of judging dispassionately and intelligently the causes behind them and the effects flowing out of them. They are now begun by first throwing a mob into a panic; they are ended only when it has spent its ferine fury. Here the effect of civilization has been to reduce the noblest of the arts, once the repository of an exalted etiquette and the chosen avocation of the very best men of the race, to the level of a riot of peasants. All the wars of Christendom are now disgusting and degrading; the conduct of them has passed out of the hands of nobles and knights and into the hands of mob-orators, money-lenders, and atrocity-mongers.”

The linked stuff “seems” to be worthwhile (the comments to the post too. Aesop’s a very contrarian – former Marine, currently working ER department in LA.)

I seem to recall your not being “very impressed” with this guy as a source LB but my thinking (at present & probably for the foreseeable future) is that the media is not serving us at all well so – perhaps a contrarian viewpoint should be the order of the day:

(A friend in the UK advises me the casualty count [*foreign fighters/mercs] was closer to 400 but for the moment I have no way to even make an educated guess.)

    Hope you’re well. I turned 66 today but honestly I don’t feel a day over 96.

Thanks for your most recent post. Any non-US-based (heck even NATO) source reporting is appreciated.
