As far as I can tell—and I pay attention to this stuff—with the exception of Ted Cruz and possibly Governor Scott Walker every declared candidate for the GOP nomination for president is a “faux conservative”.
That’s how I see it too Kinnison. Walker is flitting all over the place due to, I suspect, listening to too many political advisers and reacting to polls. Ted Cruz, as far as I can tell, hasn’t flipped on his core conservative principles and whether his tactics get bashed as not being “smart politics” – he doesn’t abandon his principles for political expediency. The GOP is looking for a wish-washy candidate to appeal to women, minorities, independents, but Ronald Reagan won on selling his vision of a better America. Trump offers a very sad imitation of that vision.
