I’ll take that with some fries…

Over the weekend President Trump did a lighthearted short shift at a McDonalds restaurant in PA, Trump has decades of experience pulling off these sort of cameo appearances. I thought it was fun, great, and the image of him at the pick-up window was instantly iconic. Even better, was he and everyone involved appeared to be having a great time.

The Dem and liberal media reaction though painted a dark and very negative view of Trump’s McDonalds event. I happened to watch the 2000 Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant movie, Two Weeks Notice, on Netflix Sunday afternoon. Lo and behold there’s a fun cameo appearance of, none other than, Donald Trump in this movie – just like Hollywood loved to slip into movies before Trump entered politics and he became the left’s Public Enemy #1. Trump’s great at these sort of appearances and nothing could be more American than a Trump photo-op at a McDonalds. Trump has made no secret for many years that he loves eating McDonalds food.

Of course, what has Dems and liberal media mouthpieces so outraged is he expertly trolled Kamala Harris over her reported college job working at a McDonalds, for which McDonalds has no record. Our illustrious liberal media, who failed to dig into Kamala’s McDonalds job claim, went to work digging up dirt on the McDonalds franchise owner, trying to damage his restaurant and drumming up pressure on McDonalds corporate office for allowing Trump’s appearance.

For the campaign that’s touting about being all about “Joy,” they certainly seem to be trying to smother any positive media Trump got out of this event.

This wall of negative reporting by the liberal (formerly mainstream) media reminded me that since Trump won the election in 2016, the left’s #Resist movement has driven the left into a sort of mob mentality fueled by hatred of Trump and anyone who supports him. There’s a dangerous edge to this movement, where it seems like most prominent liberals in all the key institutions that prop up our American system, have become highly politicized and adhere to a strict belief system, that the highest cause of good citizenship isn’t about playing by the rules, but their own code of destroying Trump by any means necessary and hatred of both Trump and his supporters.

While this media meltdown over Trump’s afternoon at McDonalds will likely fade in a few more days, I wonder how Dems and the liberal media will react if Trump wins this election, which sure looks to be where the momentum is heading, no matter how hard and ridiculously, the meltdowns and outrage theater on the left.

I think we should all be prepared for an even crazier reaction than the 2017 Women’s March the day after Trump’s inauguration or the 2020 George Floyd “mostly peaceful” protests in that Summer of Love… The level of hate and rage about Trump is of epic proportions.

    The art of the Meal.

(Kamalaloupe is going to “win” I think. And it scares the heck out of me. Not so much Kamalaloupe personally (she has no “personally function”. Rather that, that our current *Presidency by Committee* [recall Foreign Policy’s allowance to *adjust what was previously printed – [[collector’s item now thank you very much FP!!]])

But anyway. Kamalaloupe is going to win which means, whoever the committee is that’s been running the country for the past four years will continue unhindered.

I just want to get my prediction on record LB.

Sadly. The country I was born and grown into is gonna be on the record too – as a failed experiment.

    Prescient that Pennsylvania Gentleman.

“A Republic. If you can keep it.”

  2. Based on my very unscientific gut, I feel Trump is likely to win, but then all hell will break loose as Dems set about contesting and refusing to certify, replete with nationwide protesting and chaos – that will make J-6 look like amateur hour.

I hope there’s a peaceful transfer of power, but somehow I don’t feel that’s where our country’s at.

My feeling about Trump is a combination of news and that I live in a blue county and this town is 30% black. What’s very unusual is I’m not seeing loads of Harris/Walz signs, even though she made a visit to a local high school here. Usually my neighborhood has a lot of Democrat signs, but this year that’s missing.

Yet, I could be wrong, because early voting in my county is way up.

Thanks for the substantive reply LB. It helps.

Early voting in my county is way way up too. For whatever that means. *Historically, my county tends strong … Well the generation before was strong Democrat (‘Because that’s the way our Daddies voted!’) … And our county level offices – with the most “powerful” offices [county judge, sheriff : exception county prosecutor] tending conservative – which, given again “our history” of Dems being quite conservative

Man oh man it’s hard to prognosticate my general locale – probably it’ll be turnout that decides it but, the population concentrations being as they are I can’t see “the rural” (unless it’s landslide territory) being enough to weigh it to Trump.

I wish to withdraw my earlier prediction and now say “even money” on either. Arkansas will easily go Trump (and massively) but I don’t have a clue whether that’s gonna be anywhere near enough to overcome such a well-oiled machine.

Whichever way it goes, tumult is certain to be a result. If Trump, I’m thanking the Good Lord I live in the Ozarks! DC [ & like environs ] will be a nightmare of organized “protest actors.”

      • JK, Watching prominent Dems (not just Joe & Mika or Whoopi)over-the-top spin efforts – blathering about internment camps, etc., it really looks to me like tops Dems prepping their spin battlefield for post-election as much as trying to push Kamala over the finish line. For all the Dem hyping of J-6, Dems have waged lawfare in previous presidential elections and have advanced their efforts there. I expect Dem orchestrated street theater and rioting if Trump wins and I expect Dems will try every means possible to prevent Trump from assuming the office. I hope I’m wrong and things are calm, orderly and peaceful, but prominent Dems and what they say over the next weeks is where I’m looking for clues about what’s next.

    Er … LB?

Can we just forget my earlier prediction?

(Thanks for posting that CNN *explanation as being not media-connected I wasn’t able to watch stuff.

Might you find any *explanatory videos* viz a viz last night, might you place them on “our thread [rambling]” for m to get later?

    Hope you’re well.

God bless the memory of P’Nut. May s/he rest in peace. A true martyr to the cause.
