This sounds like the further implosion of Arab regimes from Syria to Baghdad to Lebanon to Yemen. Assad doesn’t seem to have long. Pretty soon, I suspect these disparate Islamist groups, flush with success, will begin fighting each other. That is the nature of such people.
Yes, they will, but since they leave little more than rubble in their wake, it’s hard to envision how they expect to create some magnificent new “Caliphate”. Seems they’d want to preserve as much infrastructure as possible for that grand vision.
“grand vision” maybe that’s the problem.
