Here’s a quick whirl of commentary from around the web on the CT massacre:

President Obama tearfully pulls on our heartstrings in this CNN piece
More federal regulatory impositions on law-abiding gun owners won’t alter the culture, it only infringes on their rights. To be perfectly honest here, I have never owned a gun nor do I have any intentions of ever buying a gun. That said, what scares me is not gun ownership in America, but the regulatory tyranny we’re being duped into believing will make us safer. Somewhere along the way millions of Americans stopped thinking and became dangling marionettes with media and political puppeteers pulling their emotional heartstrings. The Obama administration wants to control what you eat, what medical care you receive, how much of your own money you can keep, track where you drive in your car, what type of car you drive and the list goes on and on. This morning I came across this governmental overreach and yet no one murmurs a protest. Never fear though, it’s all for your own good. And this latest massacre falls into the leftists’ laps script-perfect – they’re going to do this “to protect the children”. Be afraid, be very afraid!
